I watched WMCTV online tonight.
Seriously, Memphis must have the most depressing news.
This is their lineup: Background info on Mississppi girl burned to death, woman charged with criminal exposure to HIV, 6 year old shoots a 4 year old, two shot in robery, and IKEA comes to Memphis.
We got Memphis news in Oxford when I was at Ole Miss. Most entertaining shite ever. And yes, very depressing. That lineup is a standard day.

How does this case differ from any other city, really?
1. Gangs sell drugs - aren't they other places too?
2. Horrible crime by burning white girl - terrible, but they happen elsewhere.
3. Foreign guy owning mini-mart - they are all over.
4. Bunch of crap going down with thugs - happens all the time.
5. Questionable law enforcement - we know about that.
Perhaps, this case is special. Or, maybe it spotlights life across America today? If this poor girl were not killed, we wouldn't have heard about it.
But, you could look in Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Birmingham, and every small town in-between and see this same set-up, less the horrific murder, and even in some there is the murder.
Are we all living in Panola County to some extent?

Nothing standard about a girl being burned to death, but I agree that the Memphis news is depressing.
I've once seen them discuss a murder suspect for several minutes, including posting a photo of the perp and interviewing neighbors, etc. The camera pans back to the group of people near the caution tape at the crime scene and, low and behold, the fricking murder suspect in the photo is standing back there waving to the camera.
The Memphis area has a very serious drug problem - and rural Mississippi near where this murder took place is no different. It's not like a normal small town down there. Those little delta map dots are economically devastated. The people who could leave already have decades ago.
There is supposedly a lot of shady activity at the fuel station where the security footage was taken.

Nope, but Panola County sucks, like a lot of North Ms, Al and La.

Yeah I meant other than that.
Elementary kids bringing drugs and guns to school they find at their house felt like a daily occurrence.
fricking sad. But it made for some crazy television.

One of my friends is a reporter on Action News 5 in Memphis, and he recently went to the suspect's home in a case where a dude tried to cut off his girlfriend's head (one of her fingers too) with a saw. This guy's whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) was in the driveway yelling at my buddy and the camera crew, one of the "ladies" ends up bending over and dropping her pants in front of the camera.

It's run by people with heavy gang/ drug ties, so that may explain the sketchiness by the store owner.
Supposedly she had just returned from a battered women's shelter also

Leah' House
This is the place she supposedly went and what the letter was referring too

How do you know? This entire thread has been a bunch of stupid conspiracy theories with no facts. First the black animal boyfriend killed her. Then it was the dad. Next its the middle eastern guy and his gang. Let's not forget about the wreck and the possible shake and bake meth deal. The MF OT!

I didn't look at the 47 pages before I posted, just gathered that from evidence I've seen appear the past week

Its sad when yiu can tell what area of Memphis a crime took place in just by the description of events.
Last week it was in the past two months 4 hispanics have been killed, 5 more shot, and multiple armed robberies and assults. I immediately knew it was my neighborhood.

Did it look like a bed of stinging caterpillars was stuck between her cheeks?

It's like that everywhere. Nobody is interested in the school bus that made it to school this morning without incident.
