Which is why ALL LEO's and civilians should be in favor of body cams!! They protect everyone...unless you're trying to break the law or lie about an encounter on either side of the badge.
Why then does it seem like police unions are fighting against them so hard?

I can't believe I watched all of that, and how stupid this girl was. how nice of the officer to call her parents instead of arresting her, only to have her act like an arse and get arrested.
I commend the officers for not beating the shite out of her, b/c that's what they should have done. The second she decided to kick the officer, he should have shoved his boot up her arse.

While true, you have to admit that social media certainly compounds the situation. Once something goes viral, especially if it racism or sexual assault related, the truth typically becomes irrelevant.
Just like all these fake rape accusations that turn out to be completely false. Instead of saying "she should be punished for trying to ruin someone's life", we get "well, it may not have been true, but we still need to have the conversation about sexual assault" and the accuser is let off the hook completely.
