Kid will be at least 25 before he graduates HS.

There is very little to no value of education among the poor. They are continually reproducing and furthering a cycle that they themselves didn't start. The problem is no one is willing to sacrifice and break this cycle that plagues us as a country.

At the current rate, we'll probably elect that kid president
As silly as this is it's probably the truth.

It would take mass sterilizations to accomplish that at this point

Obviously the system let the kid down........by not automatically passing him.

but living in NYC with all the opportunities and resources there, there's no excuse to not have at least an average education level.
There are extremely shitty schools up here.

That is absurd. He should not be in 7th grade with 12-13 year olds.
Scruffy graduated high school at 17 (not because of smarts, because he started school young).

those kids are geniuses and their parents are 1000% invested in their lives. genetics, desire, and devotion along with a strong family structure and learning good work habits with their schoolwork is what is fast-tracking those kids.

His daughter has tested out of two grades of elementary school and will likely enter college at age 15 or 16. With online classes available she'll probably enter college with 30+ hours already on the books.
Don't do it. Kid's social skills will be out of wack

I was in the 7th grade with a guy who should've been graduating that spring. He had a straight F in every class for 6 years except for math. We had an exceptional math teacher who somehow got through to the kid. The rest of them just let him nap through class.
