Why do we put people in jail on our dime for doing drugs? They aren't selling drugs. They aren't making drugs. They are personally using drugs.

How about we provide better treatment options and not arrest these people. I promise it will save us billions.

I don't deny that whatsoever.

That said, there are better ways with better end game scenarios. As is, we are staring the prospect of a permanent prison culture in the face.

Perhaps the goal should be to make career criminals productive through treatment and prevention, assuming the narcotics are the root of the problem as has been sold.

Also to touch on Holocaust thing.

Survivors are still alive from the holocaust. People are still around that had their entire families killed from during the Holocaust. How many ex-American slaves are there? How many remember their parents being sold into slavery?

People aren't saying forget or get over it, but don't use that shite. I didn't put your ancestors in slavery and I clearly don't agree with it.

Now 50s/60s racism is still fresh and lots of people have experienced that. Being pissed from that still is understandable IMO.

I say again, what does that have to do with white privilege? Don't frick up, and you won't go to jail. I have no sympathy for black people or white people in jail. You know the laws, don't break them. Don't come crying on here because black people are "over represented" in jail, because frankly, if you are stupid enough to do shite to get you put in jail, then race isn't the problem. It's that thing between your ears.
