T-bills don't earn that much. Not even 30-year bonds do. More like 3-3.25%.

But yes, he could spend very large amounts of money each week and never touch principal.

The problem is that most of these guys can't resist just setting it on fire. I've seen two people get windfalls (not of that size of course) and it was sad watching them self-destruct.

He will blow through unimaginable amounts of money.

Sharks are going to feed on him till he is done.
Even a fairly wise 21 year old will have an extremely difficult time (with no real family help), and this guy doesn't look to be the wisest.
Works at an automotive supplier, probably makes anywhere from $30k to $60k, depending on how much OT and job titile he had. Probably no degree, been working there since high school finished.
