The numbers will go down once the Gen. Lee statue is taken down.

Guess that means that Nola has more than double the culture of BR.

A far cry from the early 90's where NOLA would annually surpass 350 murders per year. BR usually is between 60-70 per year.

There were over 400 murders a year in Nola back in the 90's. Huge progress has been made, obviously. Nola real estate is on fire. Awesome time for Orleans parish.

The town I live in passed a law in 1982 that all head of households must own a firearm. There have been two or three murders since, including a 25-year stretch without one at all.

Most are killers killing killers, it's part of the street game

The ones that are innocent victims and children are always troubling though

All those middle aged gun toting white republicans must've been responsible for all those murders

There is no doubt that the issues at hand are the following:

The statues
NRA
White republicans
Donald Trump
Not enough gun control

I wonder how much of that is due to better health care and piss poor shooting. What's the difference in numbers of shooting victims?

There were also 150,000 more "cultured" citizens back then than now

no one has implied the statues have anything to do with that. They have been on the decrease the past several years in NOLA with a slight increase this year. Much much lower than 10-20 years ago.
