Sobriety Milestones should be re-worded as
"The day I accepted that my body is inferior and broken and I can't drink alcohol like a normal person."

There’s not a better feeling in the world than a clear head, healthy body, no regrets, and no hangovers.

My brother-in-law just passed 10 years sober, but he went the AA route and is still heavily involved in the group.

Congrats on the milestone and having the insight to see how it was messing up, not only your life, but those around you with your behavior when drinking. It takes a big man to admit his faults and an even bigger one to do something about it.

Oh, and that's Frostop Root Beer in those mugs.

How much were you drinking when you decided to give up alcohol?

I can weeks without drinking but then I will also have streaks where I can put back a 6-pack every night.

Wasn't much of beer person, though I did drink some, but mostly jack black, two 1/5's (750 ml) on the weekends wasn't uncommon. From there it grew to a gallon or so per weekend and then I started drinking during the work week which I swore I would never do. It just got to the point I lost control of myself, insulting everyone around me and just being a totally a-hole. I couldn't deal with anymore.

You drank 5 of these in a fricking weekend? Like multiple weekends in a row?
