It's just amazing to me that anyone can see a news story like this and talk about how if she wouldn't have been breaking the law by driving at 15 she would be alive. Different perspectives I guess
Stay woke tho bro

The fact of the matter is, in this particular case, had she not been breaking the law by driving underage she likely wouldn't have been shot... do you deny that?

its pitiful that kids drop out before high school and its likely the mother is on government assistance to begin with...and she was setting up her daughter for the same success. If anything is pitiful its that the parents didn't give a shite.
Well no shite. Everyone can make a pretty educated guess as to how this girl ended up in this situation, but that's not the point.
My point is that this board is incredibly obtuse to situations and circumstances that are atypical in their own lives and circles. Most posters on this board grew up with parents and family that care. They went to schools with decent teachers and classmates. They were shown structure by people in their lives and thus learned habits at an early age that serve as the foundation for a successful future. Kids that grow up in shitty neighborhoods often do not have these luxuries. They grow up under different circumstances, and the fact that people in general cannot empathize with other human beings that were dealt a worse hand says a lot about those casting judgement, IMO.

There is a picture of her and her mother when she was a baby...that picture says alot
There is another picture of her and HER baby...she's 15!! That says a lot..
There is also another picture of her laying in bed with another guy and her leg is cocked up over his leg.....that says all i need to know about this girl

Plenty of ideas here on how this bathroom can be completed renovated and updated.

judging posters based on posts on a message board speaks volumes also. Some people are fed up with this crap b/c it sucks and NOTHING is being done to change it. If the people that live in the hood can become numb to it why can't the ones reading about all the needless killings become numb to it also?

Right? Because she's black, a dropout and dresses oddly, losing her life is an opportunity for this board to make jokes. This girl clearly didn't have many, if any, good role models in her life, and she obviously went down the wrong path considering she's a dropout. The lack of empathy on this board for people, especially children, that come from different backgrounds and are raised under different circumstances doesn't surprise me, but it's still pretty pitiful to see.
Or it could simply be "Thug Fatigue" and a familiarity with the crime statistics that have made vast swaths of our city festering shitholes of crime , violence and dysfunction. And while I enjoyed the self-righteousness of your sermon, I also understand that once these kids decide they are in "the game" this or jail is almost always the outcome. And cutting through the sentimentality and looking at it with the cold skepticism of truth, I would also say it is highly likely that society lost nothing yesterday except for future victims of her reckless decisions. I am sad for America that there are so many dysfunctional predators that victimize each other. But I do not cry for them, or take sanctimonious defenses of them and their choices seriously. You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

There are plenty of pictures on her profile that would indicate the result that just took place should have come at no surprise.
One picture that stands out is her flipping off the camera and making a gang sign.
It was dated 1/24/2012 or when she was approximately 10 years old.

there are millions of people that "were dealt a not so good hand" and turn out just fine......why do we hear that excuse so much?

Becoming numb and poking fun are not the same thing, but honestly, I don't care what you people do. This board is largely anonymous, so you can post whatever you want. This girl is a product of her environment, and she lost her life because of it. Had she grown up with two parents in a nice neighborhood with a nice school district, she'd likely be alive right now. If you see in my first post, I'm just surprised at the lack of empathy when things like this happen.

Don't get me wrong... I could pull a lot more out the news story, but this was the one I chose to go with because it not only points to a standard of life where lawlessness is the prevalent theme; but also a home-life and parenting crisis that allowed a 15 year old, Jr. High drop-out mother with a lack of respect for herself, her body or her family to take a vehicle for a joy ride. That type of up-bringing, along with the photos shown on this thread, lead me to believe that she was not simply out for some yogurt with her friends, in that neighborhood at that time of night/morning, but was compounding on her poor decisions, because she wanted to do hood-rat shite with her friends!
When will you realize that most "victims" are victims of choice rather victims of chance? By all means though, keep thinking she was helpless in the situation.

I hear what you're saying....once they catch the TPOS that shot her, the focus and attention she's getting will shift to the shooter and the same things will be said about him
