We do New Orleans Nightmare every year and enjoy it. They also do a Krampus event. We bought on pre-sale for $15 but they sell for $27.99 I think.

Thanks for all the replies. We try and do a monthly social event with office workers and this year they wanted to do 13th Gate. Everyone had a great time plus having Pastimes next door we went for Pizza and Beer afterwards. Just looking for something for next October and Rise came across to me through a social media site.

Will look through for the others. I got stuck in the back with the group of 10 and the scares are only once a group so when it happened I didn't really get to see it. Others up front were screaming like girls.

I’m an adult so I don’t go to haunted houses. Unless you mean your mommas house.

Has anyone come in this thread yet to say ‘if I wanted to be scared I’d just go walk around in NOLA East’

It happens every time

You can’t claim to be an adult and use a ‘yo momma’ joke in the same post

$35 regular ticket $75 VIP ticket

Let's say 60/40 split between the two and assume that the 50k visitor figure from 2014 is correct

Not even CLOSE bubbala. The regular line stretches on FOREVER.

The VIP usually has not a soul in it.

But that's why we use the VIP line. There are ways...

you must go really early then. every time I've gone we've had to wait in an actual VIP line for 30-40min

to be honest I dont understand how anyone would stand in that long arse line for only 30-40 difference.

I wasnt impressed with 13th gate this year at all. They took the exorcism room out which was one of the best. they still have some of the stupid arse rooms like the alligator.

I need to try the one in tickfaw. I went to one in natchitoches and it was pretty cool.

I went to Rise last night and all 3 attractions were awesome to be honest. I liked it much better than 13th gate.

This was the first year that I was disappointed in the 13th Gate. It seemed like they were short on staff. Normally there are a dozen or so actors walking around the line, scaring people and getting the mood right. That was gone this year. The clown appearing in the Hellevator is always a good gimmick, but this year it was some guy dancing. Seriously, he was just dancing. I laughed.

Carnevil across the street had a good show with the band and fire performers though.

It definitively sucked this year. also they removed one of the best sets with the exorcism but leave that stupid alligator room.

Rise was just alot better all the way around. Definitely doing rise instead of 13th gate next year. Also dont have to worry about your car getting broken into or hassled by homeless degenerates.
