Gonto trade school.

Seriously.

By the time you are in your late 20s, you will make way more money than most all the people you know that are your age.

Thats 96 percentile for his grade, not for the grade that normally takes the test. If he was a senior his grade would put him at 89%. Which won’t earn him anything. You have to get a grade in the top 1% to earn a scholarship and an award, and it’s a pretty small scholarship, only $1000 a year

on the other hand it was 96th percentile. So I dunno.

In the next 10 years, you'll understand why being better than 95% of the population isnt something that should make you too proud.

People are stupid...like functioning retard stupid.

My daughter just scored a 1500 out of 1520. Highest score ever in our parish. She scored 1420 as a sophomore. 1260 does not qualify for national merit semi in LA based on my research.

A lot of these figs are fricking with you

As a sophomore that's very solid. You have several months to prepare as a junior. I don't see why you can't get 1350-1450 next time.

Find books such as Princeton reviews/Pearson and attend workshops

Is the op not the snowflake? I was being less OTish because I thought the op was the sophomore.

The score is good, not great. There are PSAT prep programs. It may be worth it. Being a National Merit Semifinalist opens up tons of scholarships.

I did Google it. Doesn't tell me shite for real world meaning. Like getting good scholarships etc.

Those tests aren't applicable for real world meaning and pure academic scholarships are largely based on your GPA, with certain exceptions, although a good test score would certainly help. Unless you have a really strong GPA, you will likely be limited to partial scholarships.

I believe the cutoff to be a semifinalist was 1430 for this year in LA. The scholarships available definitely make it worthwhile to strive for this goal.

know the percentiles are pretty high but I have no real familiarity with the SAT so I have no frame of reference.
