It seems like until it affects someone directly that a lot of people just want to pretend that it's not happening. With all of the BLM bullshite it's going to get to a point where police won't be able to function with certain elements.

That's because they are in denial about what kind of people they are dealing with. Crime is an actual culture in some segments of America. It's not shunned by families, there is no embarrassment or shaming that is applied, in fact, it's actually the opposite. They love illegal guns and drugs and easy money. There really is no other choice than to just separate these types from civilized society. They don't play by the same rules as the rest of us.
