On my way back to La. to visit my dad. In my luggage I have 5 each: Montecristo 4, Cohiba Siglo IV and Partagas Serie D No. 4.

you don't need to cut it that deep. just snip the tip about a millimeter or two deep. it's a common misconception that you need to do it the way they do it in the movies. trust me, it will keep the cigar from unraveling.

If you hold the cutter down against a flat surface it will give a perfect cut every time.

Pretty band. Many not-so-good cigars have lovely bands.

Had a Herrera Estelí Miami 2016 last night at a Drew Estate event at Mayan Import in Metairie. Great cigar. Many of the folks at that event are in St. James Parish this afternoon at the Drew Estate Barnyard event up in Perique country.

The cigar isn’t bad, just not much going on with it for a $9 stick. Guy who makes them is a physician in my home town, so I’ve had several of his. This one is my least favorite. Good construction though

That is a great story, hope you enjoy them, then. Locally made by someone you know, that's worthy.

It’s a box press. I barely cut the cap off.
