Well, it is sort of a biological imperative. I think the more recent development is plenty of people forgoing kids to live a corporate created, consumer driven lifestyle because society says so.

I think in about 5-6 years when I hit 34ish I might entertain the idea of a child, but even then I don't know if I'd actually want to go through with it. I think in 5-6 years she'll legitimately be even more anti-baby than she is now.

People look at us weird too. It doesn't bother me because it is normal to get married and then have kids.
I just don't want that life for whatever reason. And I'm not going to have a child or try to talk my wife into wanting a child just because it's the thing to do.

Maybe, but brain chemistry wins in humans more often than not.
I'm definitely in the you should have a few married years before having kids camp though. I pretty much have a one major life change a year max rule I like to live by. So the whole married get pregnant right after thing would be my worst nightmare.
I don't think it is weird at all if people forgo kids.

Damn, nice car. Our household income is higher by a decent amount and I wouldn't spend that on a car. I'm guessing our mortgage cost eats up a much greater percentage of our income though

I knocked up my wife (unplanned) when she about 31 and I was 32. We had twins and it definitely changed my life for the better. I respect people's decision either way. People have different expectations and wants in life.

Maybe so. It changes your life, no doubt about it. You make considerable concessions, and I don't think you can really say it is "worth" it until the dust settles at the end of your life.

Yea I read one on there. People will admit it on there because of it being anonymous.
People aren't going to admit it on here because this isn't a world wide anon site, but I have no doubt plenty on here regret their kids being born.
I'll admit if my gf said she was pregnant, I would be shitting my pants because a kid is the last thing I need right now
