That’s not what I said, but let me know when you find the utopia that taxes the poor out of prosperity

$100 to someone making $40k/year is not the same as someone making $80k/year.

You want the taxing system implemented by the most liberal countries in the world.

That’s not a repair, it’s a replace.

A swap that will disproportionately hurt poor and middle class people, which is objectively bad for everyone.
I’ve done the math. It will be great for me.

Liberal countries LOVE consumption taxes down to you love this local tax swap introduced by a liberal. What am I not understanding? You’re a liberal and you don’t even know it

If you look at it in the simplest slack jaw way possible, it may… for now

Whatever. I hope this succeeds and we phase out income tax completely next time.

This may disproportionally hurt the poor but not the middle/working class. You are 100% wrong there. Who cares about the poor tho? Poor people do not contribute to income tax, they still need to pay their fair share... increased sales tax will fix that!
Plus, which poor people have netflix and cox and can afford a 1k a/c repair? If they can afford a home with an A/C unit, they can afford the extra 100% sales tax that comes along with the 1k repair.
You sound like a liberal propaganda machine.

It doesn't surprise me that someone who works for HR Block is against a consumption tax and elimination of the progressive income tax.

I just got back from the grocery store, and I bet I paid the same price for the items purchased as someone poorer than me and someone richer than me.
Just like paying the same for food, gas, cars, and that monthly streaming cost before taxes.
Fair and Equal.

This succeeding and phasing out income tax are two different things. The politicians will of course phase out the income tax if they can continue to raise tax revenues. Taxing the citizenry more and having them say thanks is a politicians wet dream

That’s not what we’re talking about, but you’re too stupid to understand it

I am middle class and paid $24,700 in income tax last year. What is "very little " to you?
The best way to get yourself out of a hole..... is to stop digging.

Liberals love taxes. I don’t. I like equality and not punishing people for earning more.
A liberal did not introduce the tax swap dingo. A liberal introduce taxing digital goods just like their physical counterparts. Try again dingo.
It’s still strange that you are blind to context of my earlier comment.
