How does Hawaii of all places end up ranking that high on the less than 1 fruit per day ranking?

Are you thinking grocery stores there are different than the mainland?

Maryland in the bottom half is surprising as it's one of four states that are 30%+ black. The blacks there are richer though which further supports the poverty-obesity correlation.

Europeans are still eating real food for the most part. Unprocessed meats, vegetables, fruits, etc. That's why they are skinnier than Americans.

I don't know about all that, man. Eating dinner in Italy was a marathon, not a sprint. Normal meal was an app, a pasta, an entree, and then a dessert. I was usually full by the end of the pasta.

Fruit per day as a measure of health? I haven’t eaten fruit in months and am low double digit % body fat. That’s dumb.

Edit, my wife tells me almonds are a fruit rather than a nut. Nevermind then.

I’m just thinking as it pertains to the sheer abundance of fruits that grow on the islands.

Yeah. I’m 5’11” 242 and every chart says I’m like morbidly obese.

At 6'3" and 215, I feel like a lardass some days. I'd look amazing at 190.

I wonder if the BMI chart has changed over the years. I don’t consider myself fat. I’m probably more average plus a bit. Dad bod kind. BMI at my height (6’) says I need to weigh 140-180. 140? That is Ethiopian thin. That’s the Optimal. 180 hasn’t been seen since my junior year of high school and every yearly physical days I’m as healthy as can be. Trust me. I could stand to lose a few pounds but I have an entirely different definition of obese than this article.

And it took time. And you were full. But not stuffed.

But, Europe is far more than Italy.
