In my earlier years, I've seen plenty black people denied employment at Subway or Domino's because they were black AND because no one educated them on how to present yourself when applying for a job. It was embarrassing seeing some people come in with their boxers showing and asking "yo y'all hiring?" Subways and Dominos! It's such an uphill battle I don't see the solution anywhere in sight.
ETA: nb4 someone says I still work at Subway or Domino's you clever devils.

When is it ok to not spare the rod on the police?
The cops job is not to administer justice.
Cops with your attitude is why I often wonder if they deserved it when I hear tragic news about police officers

And this is PRECISELY my point. Common sense to you does not equate to knowledge to impoverished people. They don't walk in to those places intentionally trying to not get hired. I'm sure some may be to show proof of attempted employment, but the majority are just ignorant on how productive society operates. The gap is just that vast.
I have plenty of opinions on how to dent the problem, but these politicians don't care about the welfare of these people. The right don't get votes from them, so what do they care about them. The left do get votes from them and proper reform could really put a hurt on their election chances.
It's sad. It's a mess. And I just wish people were more empathetic to the impoverished problems in general and gave the opposing view point the time of day to explain their issues.

When told to stand down follow the fricking orders! Charge at cops and throw shite at them, then you are the aggressor and should be controlled by any means necessary and with equal or greater force. Follow the law and you have no problems.

Raise your kids to respect people and value education. The opportunities for minorities to get free education is there if they want it. Too many have no parental guidance. But blame everyone else, that's the easy thing to do.
