They won't last long.

They will be murdered immediately in prison.

Scum of the Earth.

They will likely end up killing themselves.

As for as my question about how people obtain those type of images, I am not talking about getting them from other people, etc, I mean who are taking these pictures and videos?

in these cases the perps have just download these videos?
or do they actually make the movie>?

Typically they meet on chat sites and begin downloading and sharing videos with each other using sites that allow them to share files.

I just don't understand this at all ????? WTF, how can someone watch something like this much less 'get excited' about it ? "Rape of infant children" is punishable by death, it's as bad as murder.

I don't see how castration isn't mandatory for anyone that does that to an infant.

Project VIC is helping catch these bastards through photo DNA.

It's not an easy task when Cole says they are seeing 500,000 images a week: that's over 25 million a year.

The Keating case ran for about three weeks and in the past it could have taken months -- or worse, the image may never have been uncovered at all.

'Game-changing' technology identifies child abusers 03:44

Story highlights

New technology analyzes online photos to identify child predators and their victims"Photo DNA" technology lets computers review images faster than ever beforeProject VIC is now being used by Interpol, Europol and agencies in 35 countries

(CNN)In a bathroom, the predator has placed a child on the counter to photograph his evil acts.

In the background of the photo, which was posted online, are products including prescription medication.

But zooming in on that pill bottle makes the details unreadable.

In a small, dark lab Jim Cole, special agent and supervisor of Victim Identification at the Homeland Security Investigations Cyber Crimes Center gets to work using the latest technology available.

Using technology to identify abusers

"Utilizing some technology that hadn't even been released to the public yet we were able to take a look at the bottle and reverse out some of the motion blur," Cole said.

They can now see the offender's first name "Stephen," the first two letters of the last name and the first three digits on the prescription order.

With that he applies to the pharmacy for the customer details of every person who fits that criteria. It narrows the list down to a man named "Stephen Keating."

But that's not all. The offender's fingers are also in the picture and incredibly this crack team manages to pull the fingerprints from the image.

"That was the first time we were able to do that," Cole said.

The evidence was strong enough to put Stephen Keating behind bars for 110 years. Investigators rescued his 14 victims.

No victim left behind

Cole co-founded Project VIC: their aim is that no victim is be left behind.

"We strive to find these children as quick as possible," Cole said. "The longer it takes us the longer that child is in harm's way."

Heroes at home: Injured vets now hunt child predators

Using technology known as "Photo DNA" their computers can wade through the hundreds of thousands of photos fast, categorizing the ones they've already seen to allow his team to focus on the new victims.

"What used to take us nine months now takes us a month," said Cole.

"It helps us review video on a scale of about 100 times faster than previously," he added. "It's been a complete game-changer for law enforcement and we get that feedback from the field all the time."

To be honest, I wouldn't know the first thing to do to get my hands on child porno. I mean, who films it? Who distributes it? Who buys it? To be involved at any level at all you have to admit to the other people you're dealing with that you are a fricking, messed up individual.

I've seen that Vail dude around somewhere. makes me nervous

A guy that worked with me for a couple of years got busted for having child porn on his computer. He had left for another job a couple of years before the arrest. Weird part about it was he dated a woman with a 13 year old, he baby sat a lot, when he first started working with me.

A friend was a manger at his job when he was arrested. He knew about him being arrested and going to court, but couldn't tell me until the whole story broke in the papers. They knew he was being prosecuted but didn't fire him until it broke. I think it had something to do with him going to their HR person about it.

My friend called me one day and told me to look at the front page of the Dallas Morning News. His name was one of about six in the article telling about a child pornography ring. According to the paper, they didn't get the people who were actually posting the content because they were in Russia or some part of the former Soviet Union.

He only had to do a couple of years in a minimum security prison. I was disappointed when I heard he was in the Dallas prison on I-35 that used to be a hotel. Pretty sure he didn't have to mix with the other prisoners too much, if at all.
