BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - One man is in custody after police say he fired shots at an officer during a traffic stop.

Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department say one man has been arrested after shooting at an officer Tuesday night. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. at N 15th and Chestnut streets when a BRPD officer pulled the man over for an alleged traffic violation.

BRPD officials say the man tried to run away. Officers pursued him, and he reportedly fired at one of those officers.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The identity of the man arrested has not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing.LINK

All the Officer was thinking was “if I have to kill this dude to protect myself, my life is over.”

Gravy will say it’s the cops fault for pulling someone over for no reason.

Probably drove off the main traveled portion of the highway. They’ve been all over that one lately and we never got a good definition.

The Advocate just updated their story to say the officer returned fire. It's a shame he didn't drop the sack of shite.

Zillow pretty much has no record of the last time any of them were sold. It is hard to sell something nobody wants.
