That’s a goddamned shame. I’m sure we
Could have tried harder to keep those old folks from getting infected.

Like 70% of deaths are people over 65.

Yep. Mississippi was at 51% last I saw. They won't tell us here in AL, but I'll bet it is over 50% At one time just two nursing facilities accounted for about 15% of all AL deaths

Cuomo killed thousands of people.

The NY nursing home numbers are sickening. I can only find a PDF that doesn’t roll up to a total but it’s tons of 3 digit death numbers by county.

I don't know about deaths in AL, but of confirmed cases over 30% were healthcare workers and longterm care facility workers or residents. It was that way for weeks until I stopped figuring the numbers.
.211% of the entire population of the state of Alabama has the virus. Of that .211%, roughly 30% of them are healthcare workers or longterm care facility workers or residents.

I completely agree...and there is a whole hell of a lot of this vulnerable population left too. Maybe we can do a little better in the future.

They are doing the same shite here it’s just not talked about
What’s worse is they have no employees due federal unemployment bonus so the residents aren’t getting proper care
It’s horrible how these people are being treated but in all reality it’s still within the states standards
I will say they did good with stopping visitors when they did, now they need to reopen with phase 3, at this point there is no reason to keep visitors away from their family

I would imagine a lot of the nursing home deaths in Dec-Feb were bc of COVID too and nobody will ever know.
