Walterfootball (who I really like) nailed it in 2013, which is even more impressive given the spot we picked and how we had among the fewest selections.

Mickey will probably do something stupid like pick a broken LB at 12. I've given up on him making smart decisions with 1st round picks.
I am calling though that Paxton Lynch will still be on the board in the 2nd and the Saints will pick him. Maybe even move up a few spots in the 2nd to get him. They need a replacement for Brees on the roster and next year's QB class blows chunks.

Maybe it will, but who knows.. I really like to see the Saints draft as many players who can contribute now though.
The Saints just took Grayson in the 3rd round last draft and that isn't looking very good atm. Possibly a waste if they were to draft QB even higher again.
Now I know Lynch is on a much better level than him, so I admit the fan in me just wants to see us put better players on the field right now.
We could have drafted Danielle Hunter in that 3rd round spot.. he went quite a few picks later to Minnesota..
And I don't even say that as an LSU fan, I would have preferred drafting defense there than a QB and I know he was around that range. It's so frustrating. Surely the Saints like guys with measurables and some upside like that.
Again, I recognize Lynch could be a franchise QB. I have heard he has a lot to learn though and would probably take some time. I just really want to see impact players, especially on defense. It's not like we drafted Drew Brees. It's all a crapshoot. I just assume getting a middle range QB in free agency when the time comes or if we are bad enough drafting a top 2 QB then. If we didn't have so many needs I would be more on board with grooming a QB. We've had so many wasted picks, limited picks at times for various reasons.. we have cap issues. We need to get more efficient drafting. We need some serious impact talent or stockpile picks.

This is my pick as well if we don't trade down.
If we do trade down with a team like the Jets I say Reed.

I think we end Jack's slide.
If he's there we'd be idiotic not to take him, but our organization has been plagued by this "win now" attitude so Idk if we'd take a guy who might have to redshirt a year.

I just hope its a difference maker on the Oline or Dline. That's where games are won and lost.
