1st downs - run the ball
3rd and short - run the ball
Second and short - run the ball
Within the 5 yrd line on 1st or 2nd - run the ball.

Basically - run the ball more WITH PT (he had 4 fricking attempts), our best running back all around.

If i get two - Where are the screens?

Definitely his last year at a higher salary. Would love to keep him on the cheap. My point was that no team would ever give up a valuable asset in an athletic pass rusher for an aging vet. Trades have to work for both teams.

MOTHERfrickIN THIS!!!!!!!

PT is our BEST running back. He doesn't get KTFO during last year's playoff game we make it all the way to the SuperBowl.

Out of 64 plays Sunday we ran the ball a Whopping 10 TIMES!!!!!! 10 times we ran the ball making the ratio 85% pass to 15% run....there is no way in hell we win if we can't be more balanced than this....

Sit Sed Ellis. Slide Will Smith down to DT, he is to big and slow for DE. Start Galette at DE. Sub Jordan out more with Wilson on obvious passing downs.

there was no way, NO WAY we could have maintained a balanced offensive production on sunday... we got down early, that led us to have to depend on picking up large chunks of yardage in a short period of time, thus we had to throw more than run.... the key to keeping balance is to not get down early, unlike Sunday.... any team given the same situation we faced would have had to do the exact same thing....

they could have run more screens, putting the ball in PT's hands more, but as far giving him carries, that wasn't going to happen when we got down as far and as fast as we did....

run more screens against a pass rush if it is similar to Washington's. I dont remember running any to be honest. Payton would have dialed one up on the second series when he saw that the rush was effecting Brees. Use Sproles!!!!!

The most we were down was thirteen in the scond quarter then again with 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter....that is ample time enough to get a running game going....we never set that tone to a game where Drew is best when we have a consistent running game going...

I like where you are headed, but how about (L->R), Tez, Jordan, Fresh Prince, Galette on obvious passing downs?

My call? More like my plea to execute better. I fear for the safety of both myself and my home if CocoLoco has to endure watching Cam Newton go off after this week's heartbreak. If they lose and I go missing, send help.

not bad, but in terms of pass rush, i'd take Smith out and put in McBride.... he's played as a DT some before....

the one thing they must do is play Martez Wilson more.... he is our best, fastest, most complete pass rusher available, and until he sees more snaps, we will NOT have a threat to the opposing QB....

Nothing has been mention in this thread that has anything to do with the Saints problem. I wish they did, because I feel very strongly now that my worst nightmare has come true. I bought all the hype that the players were focus and that we had a system in place that could run without our head coach, a six game suspension of our assistant head coach, playing the first six games with an interim-interim head coach and a eight game suspension of our general manager. This together with the disruption of losing two team leaders regardless of their present playing ability, a sports press that has condemn the Saints relentlessly, although dozens of former (non-Saints) players have stated the Saints were doing what ever team does (not saying it’s right, but the Saints have gone from one of the most loved teams in the NFL to the most hated).

All the talks about we’re so good that will have at least a 10 win season was totally ignoring reality. I am guilty of this. I don’t know what his motive was or if he had a motive or whatever, but when Roger Goodell handed the Saints their punishment this summer he destroyed the team. I hope it’s only for a year, but I’m afraid it will be much longer.

We’re f*cked.
