I would think it was no big deal if the bit was actually funny, I mean you can make fun of people with disabilities and have it actually be funny, even though it's rather mean.

However this was not only mean but it was completely devoid of humor at all, I didn't even crack a smile, it's like not even close to funny.

Like I said earlier this is the station that does Falcons games

And it's only a matter of time before 680 gets them to go along with the Braves and Hawks.

I didn't realize this station did falcons games.. I'd have to believe Blank wasn't very happy about this and put some pressure on the station.

In Cleveland a few years ago, the Browns took away preseason games from one TV channel all because it ran a story on the drowning of the niece of the team's owner after they played a tape of his sister calling 911.

This is just as bad.

I am glad the guys got fired, but I feel for their families if they have them. How would you like it if one disgusting and cruel comment causes you to be poor the rest of your life because your husband/father can never get work again?

Who in their right minds would air something like that and think it would be remotely humorous. But then again, it is Atlanta that we are talking about.

Everyone has a family. People that rob liquor stores have families. People who embezzle from their jobs have families. If one of these asshats were my spouse, I'd be more worried about what kind of person I was married to than about money.

It wasn't one comment. It was a whole bunch of them. And you can characterize this as one comment or one lapse of judgment or whatever but this was a massive frick up. This was the equivalent of pulling your cock out in front of your boss and pissing in his trash can while he stands there and watches in horror. Sometimes you can make one supremely awful mistake and get fired for it. That's the price you pay for being in that industry. It's nice to have people know your name and be semi-famous in your town and make decent coin but you're held to a higher standard.

I don't think they'll never work again. They will get jobs, just not as nearly as high profile as this one.

I see what you mean.
But these guys got fired because they suck at their jobs.

It's just unrealistic to keep everyone who sucks at their jobs employed.
