Right, and Johnny Football has a lot left too but the point is Cam was NFL ready coming out of college and I doubt we could do better than him out of the last 4 drafts (Luck being the exception)... Yeah, that includes Wilson and Kapernick.

So, can we all agree we should wait a little before looking for or even thinking about Drew's replacement.

If this was your ultimate point, then I agree. We should wait a few more years before thinking about a legitimate replacement unless he has a serious injury.

Why does RG3 get mentioned in this, he's lucky if he isn't carted off every Sunday. No where near Cam's level of an NFL player.

Having grown up in Boston I am a huge Patriots fan and I would not want Newton to ever be associated with the Pats. If I were a Saints fan I would feel the same way. I realize the NFL will likely always harbor and lionize individuals of questionable character but that doesn't mean I want to see them in my team's uniform.

So you want to wait a few more years before thinking about Drew's replacement, but can't fathom how other fans think it's ridiculous that you want to bring in Cam to replace him now???

Also, I would take Dalton or Wilson over Cam.

Cam would be better because Brees is in retirement mode.

I'd take Tannehill.

frick no. He's overrated.

I don't like his attitude and when he puts the towel over his entire head watch yourself...means he packed it in and is done with the game. He has a lot of talent but I just don't think he'll ever be great because of his attitude.

Cam wouldn't work in Payton's system. Cam doesn't work in Shula's system either though.

I'd like to see what Cam Newton would do in Chip Kelly's offense.

Cam isn't going last another 5 years in the NFL running the ball & taking the hits he has thus far in his career. This past offseason he had ankle surgery. Early on, there were signs he wasn’t completely recovered from that. Then just a few games into the season he gets cracked ribs.

People fall in love with these running QB but what they fail to see is the wear & tear that the hits they take effect their mechanics. It's enough taking hits in the pocket but as runners they become exposed plus they don't wear the same type of padding running backs do. This is the reason why Cam is so wildly inconsistent & inaccurate at times. He tries to over compensate with his arm when other parts of his body are in pain.

He also takes off from the pocket entirely too soon which causes him to miss potential big plays down the field. RG3,Kaepernick & Wilson all have the same problem. The difference with Wilson though is that he has a much better feel inside the pocket & protects himself outside the pocket better than any of those other quarterbacks.

So as far trading for trading for Cam, it doesn't deserve just a no but a frick no. This thread is stupid.

I'm good with Drew for 4-5 more years. Tom Brady is 37 and not showing signs of slowing and same with Peyton at 38. Both teams with number one seeds. Drew at 37-38 will be better than more than half of the NFL. I'm not worried. Just block for the man.

Since that pussy arse website won't let me reply to and I see that you told them you posted it here... I hope you idiots are reading this.

Cam isn't better than Brees now, nor will he ever be. He's a mediocre passer; and his stats and play haven't improved. I saw one dumb frick actually compare Cam to a young MJ. Get the frick out with this shite.

If this were for Luck or Rodgers... Absolutely. We are discussing an average quarterback here.

I'm actually furious I can't reply to that thread. Are they the most delusional Fanbase in the league?

"Cam has a chance to be the greatest quarterback ever"

Brees had a way better season that Cam. WAY better.

Those dudes are nuts if they believe that. They were ready to run him out of Carolina midway through the season up until the second game against the Saints.
