We should be in good position make some noise in FA, and possibly re-sign some of our younger guys. Michael Thomas is going be very rich very soon, and we have him for cheap for one more year at best.

It could also provide us with the room to absorb the cost of Drew if he retires. Then in 2020 we would be absolutely golden.

Every dollar of that 13 million needs to be offered to Bridgewater.

For what exactly? Dancing in the lockeroom? He has to prove he’s good to go before that happens.

I'm sure they might have an idea between practices and meetings.

Would rather pay our guys than make a splash move in FA.

Pickup another LB in the 2nd round or CB and we’re golden. Though I would like to pair another badass LB with Anzalone and Davis. Or we could pick up a TE to give Drew another weapon

I want us to extend Ingram and find a legit #2 WR too. I know Golden Tate will be an UFA

Yea, as of right now...a WR (probably Dez Bryant), TE, & another CB would be nice.

We're probably not going to cut Klein if he keeps playing like this, so LB might not be as high of a priority as I had initially thought. Our 3 starters are coming back & we'll probably re-sign either Robertson or Te'o. Still wouldn't complain if we decided to add another LB though.

Thankfully, Davison is the only guy on the D-Line that isn't under contract for 2019. D-Line is loaded for next year. Actually, I'm pretty sure that Davison is the only starter on defense that isn't under contract for 2019. We should be loaded again next year.

I've been thinking of where theu're weak, and there are areas that could be improved, but the odds of improving them with what we have available are marginal. Last year, we had a good draft, for everyone else in the league.

He proved that in the preseason. He is the Saints next starting qb. You don’t give up that pick for him if he isn’t. Downvote all you want but the Saints are going to pay him this offseason.

The players in bold are under contract in 2019. I don't see how Brees doesn't come back next year. Our roster is completely set up for 1 more Championship run. 2020 is going to be very interesting to say the least.

Brees, Kamara, Mike Thomas, the entire starting O-Line, & every starter on defense (besides Davison) is under contract for 2019.

Kurt Coleman & Cam Meredith might need to take a paycut next year.

Brees - 2019
Bridgewater
Taysom Hill - 2019

Kamara - 2020
Ingram
Dwayne Washington - 2019
Zach Line - 2019

Mike Thomas - 2019
Dez Bryant
Tre'Quan - 2021
Ted Ginn - 2019
Cam Meredith - 2019
Kirkwood - 2019
Austin Carr - 2019
Tommylee
Brandon Marshall

Watson
Josh Hill
Arnold - 2019

Armstead - 2021
Peat - 2019
Unger - 2019
Warford - 2020
Ramczyk - 2020 (5th year option)
Bushrod
Tom
LeRibeus
Clapp - 2021
Ola

Lutz
Morstead - 2022
Zach Wood

Rankins - 2019 (5th year option)
Davison
Onyemata - 2019
Stallworth - 2020

Cam Jordan - 2020
Alex Okafor - 2019
Davenport - 2021 (5th year option)
Hendrickson - 2020
Loewen

Demario Davis - 2021
AJ Klein - 2019
Anzalone - 2020
Robertson
Te'o
Biegel

Lattimore - 2020 (5th year option)
Eli Apple - 2019 (5th year option)
PRobinson - 2021
PJ Williams
Crawley
Hardee
Josh Robinson

M. Williams - 2020
Vonn Bell - 2019
Kurt Coleman - 2020
Banjo

He's a bit old for what he will likely want.

I'd like to see us go after Cole Beasley. I think he'd be a great member of the WR group working underneath and likely wouldn't break the bank. Imagine having Brees instead of Dak throwing to him.

ETA: nevermind just realized he's already 30. Maybe Adam Humpries from the Bucs would be the better small white slot guy to target

Enunwa would be interesting in this offense as well to me. Kind of a poor man's Jarvis.

Funchess is a FA in Carolina as well.

I realize the main argument against Ingram is age but I also think our offensive style and the fact that he had a slow start to his career means he simply doesn't have the wear and tear typical of a 30 year old back

The priority needs to be with a speedy WR that can stretch the field. Funch, Beasley and QE don’t do that.

Dumb. Bridgewater isnt even that good. I watched him in person several times with the Vikings and hes worse than Bradford or Keenum were.

Agreed on Ingram. My apologies, I meant Tate was older.

I think the priority is to find any legit second receiver that can get you 55 catches or so. Smith should continue growing into the deeper long striding threat or there are generally plenty of younger guys. Maybe Meredith will step into that 55-60 catch role but we need someone to be that guy consistently.

Beasley would actually be nice but he will stay in dallas.

Golden gate said he wanted 16mil a year which is crazy.

Also I could still see them cutting Klein cause he will be overpaid.
Does anyone know the percentage of snaps he is playing this year.
If still cut him you can replace him for half the cost and give his snaps to anzalone. Davis and anzalone are the starters anyway and resign teo for 1.7 mil

Going to need to be because these recent draft classes are going to have to get paid.

I don’t think Anzalone or Robertson are built to play Sam LB
