With Saints in need of a pass rusher......

Greg Hardy is still sitting on the couch. 28 years old, not suspended, a few years removed from a Pro-Bowl 15 sack season, really wants another chance, and would probably sign for peanuts to get that chance. Should we kick the tires? Just think of a D-line with this: Jordan, Rankins, Fairley, Hardy. That would put fear into any QB looking across.

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Mario Williams for a cheap prove-it deal

He was invisible in Buffalo his last season

I think our pass rush will be okay enough combined with a nice interior rush, cam on one side, followed by more athletic linebackers and a deeper and better secondary in the back. Not overly worried about pass rush, more worried about team staying healthy.

It would've been nice to get a 3 down stud in this draft but improving the secondary will help tremendously in pressuring QBs. Lattimore and Williams' impact will be very apparent this year. Expect Kikaha to have a big year if he stays healthy.

Not a bad idea, per se, but also not what I think Payton and Loomis are interested in doing. If it happens, I won't be upset. If it doesn't happen, I won't be upset.

All this. Why would they hold true to their draft board and not reach on a EDGE rusher only to kick the tires on ones with big question marks. If Kihaha still has some knees left the addition of Okafor is pretty good combo. I truly believe our rush is going to live and die on the pressure of Fairly and Rankins collapsing the inside pocket pushing the QB into forced throws to our new ballhawking secondary or into one of the ends for a sack.
All this is depending on health but if we avoid the major injury bug I think we are good to stand pat for now. Some bigger name might be cut before start of season like Kruger was last year. Until then let's see what camp looks like.
*Edit* this was to the O.P. not you Chad I was just quoting you.

We're due for some good luck. I don't think we could've had any worse luck the past couple of years.

we have depth, we just not sure if we have elite quality at the top. Kikaha, Okafor, Tapp, Hendrickson, Muhammad, Oneyamata can play end, Gwacham whatever he is, young guy LaFrance....

Didn't Greg Hardy just fail another drug test that was reported over this past weekend during the draft coverage. I think he maybe out of the NFL for good after this failed drug test.

You cant take the ghetto out of some of these players. Its no different than anywhere else. They already got paid and no longer want to work.

G Hardy don't give a damn about football. Incredible player but dude wanted to be a rock star not an athlete. He was always wearing these Madonna looking sunglasses in the bars at OM.

You can't be serious. He's done.
Mario Williams, on the other hand, might be worth a vet minimum.

Uhh I believe your entire post is wrong.
*Greg Hardy has plenty left in the tank
*Mario Williams doesn't even have a tank at this point.
*Randy Gregory is not Greg Hardy
Good god man.

I agree with everything you stated, but Greg Hardy doesnt want to play football. Bringing him in is giving him a huge EBT card
