I certainly wouldn't mind giving Hardy a look.

How about bringing in Hardy & Williams and see who wins the roster spot

I wouldn't mind it either, but I doubt it happens unless they are 100 percent positive Hardy won't be a locker room distraction and cancer, which he most certainly will be.

The dude can still play, bottom line. But teams just don't want him to tear their locker room from the inside out with his bullshite and constant distractions anymore.

Even if the team could look past his legal issues, his sideline antics with the Cowboys were enough to stay away from him. At this point, if we're just throwing darts at the board, Dumervil may be worth keeping an eye on.

I think the later is the main reason teams are hesitant to sign him as bad as that is to say.

It's truly amazing that a guy on that thin of ice couldn't stay on his best behavior after being given a huge second opportunity.

It's not like he isn't talented either. The fricker can ball out when he wants to. 15 sacks in 2013... what a waste

Read the same ESPN article yesterday. Tough one. We NEED a bona fide pass rushing DE who can get after the qb and impact the other's teams OFF prep/execution. Hardy has that ability. Imagine for a sec a DL of Hardy, Fairley, Rankins and Jordan. Reminds me of the NYG's when they could get good pressure with 4 and flood the passing lanes with defenders. Tough to consistently move the ball on.

Now with that said there is of course ALL the other baggage, etc. Contract would have to be tied to incentives for performance and standards of conduct. I know it may not be popular, but almost every NFL team has a player 'like' or 'somewhat like' Hardy. I would sign him to a 1-yr contract, and see how it unfolds.

Geaux Saints!

It would've been nice to get a 3 down stud in this draft but

Player A: 6'6", 270 lbs, 4.64 40 yd at the combine. 32.5 career sacks in 3 seasons.

Player B: 6'4", 266 lbs, 4.66 40 yd at the combine. 29 career sacks in 4 seasons

Vs Common opponents:
Kansas State (2016 for both)
Player A: 0 sacks
Player B: 1 sack

Ball State
Player A: 0 sacks '15
Player B: 0 sacks '16

Rice
Player A: 2.5 sacks '14
Player B: 0 sacks in '13, 1.5 sacks in '15, 2 sacks in '16

Alabama
Player A: 0 in '14, 1 in '15, 0 in '16
Player B: 0 sacks '14

Auburn
Player A: 0 in '14, 0 in '15, 2 in '16
Player B: 0 in '13

UT San Antonio
Player A: 4.5 sacks '16
Player B: 0 sacks in '14

I think that covers it...
in case you're wondering, Player A is Myles Garrett, and Player B is Trey Hendrickson

Would I draft Hendrickson over Garrett? NO WAY
BUT- Garrett went 1st overall, and Hendrickson went in the bottom of the 3rd rd, 103rd overall. You take away the one very skewed UTSA game, and they have pretty similar production. Garrett was able to get 3 sacks vs Auburn and Bama, in 6 games. Hendrickson was 0 for 2. Hendrickson got 1 against the same K State team that Garrett couldn't get in on.

Heck, Hendrickson's team sucked, I would imagine there wasn't a ton of pass-rushing chances in the K State, Auburn and Bama games for him. He did get 2 sacks against Florida in '15 (Garrett never faced the Gators). He played against Miami 3 times, got 3 QB hurries and a blocked kick.

The more I look at it, the more excited I am about this kid.
