Wow, you’re kind of a miserable little frick, aren’t you. The play you linked is him getting hit by his own lineman running into him and the ball floating out of his hand early. Not really a good play to say he doesn’t have good decision making or anything.
I’m not sure what people expect on this board. If you have a top 10 QB you are usually pretty good. We’ve got a guy who is right on the cusp of that. It’s not like it’s easy to find a Mahomes or Burrow or anything. Usually those high draft picks end up being Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold or Zack Wilson.

VH has a narrative. That is to shite on everything to do with D.A. or the team or Carr or anything to do with bucking that narrative. He glossed right over the fact that Carr was pressured ( the pass rusher pushed the blocker into Carr) obvious on the replay and the context of the risk. Worse case scenario interception in the endzone and not kicking the field goal vs going for 6 points with 55 seconds in the half. Very low risk vs. reward.

I don't think its a punt to say 50/50. I think thats about right. Even if Carr is at the top of his game who has confidence in Pete after last year. If Pete can call a good game we look really good to win the division.

Agreed. Exactly why i was one of the few on here that didn’t want Allen as HC.
My argument, if you going to go with a retread, go with one that has won a Super Bowl (Perderson), or has gotten there or has had sustained success (Harbaugh). Not one that has yet to have a winning season.
Saints hired their version of Smoke Laval…..

Exactly. Here is what Brees said about the acquisition.
“I think it’s a great move for him and the organization,” Drew Brees said of the recent signing of former Raiders star Derek Carr. “I’ve always had a lot of respect for him and always felt he was a fairly underrated player that probably didn’t get the respect he deserved.”“Obviously, he was in a tough situation with the Raiders based on a lot of the things that have happened there the last few years,” Brees said. “I think he kind of caught the brunt of that unfairly. I think highly of him as a person.”
Brees believes the fact Carr thrived in Jon Gruden’s system, which is similar to what the Saints run under offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, will help him succeed right away with his new team. As he pointed out, it doesn’t hurt to have players like wide receiver Chris Olave and running back Alvin Kamara to go “He’s shown the ability to execute complicated offenses where a lot is put on the quarterback position to be able to make checks and make reads very quickly,” Brees said. “He’s proven that. I think they’ll be well-positioned to make a run at it.”
“(Carr) is much more of a seasoned veteran than I was when I got here,” Brees said. “I think for him, first off, leaving the situation he was in and getting a fresh start was going to be a good thing anyway. But he’s stepping into a situation where it’s a great organization, one that will do whatever it takes to build the pieces around him and win. That’s been proven.
“He just has all these things going for him. I think he’s at that point in his career where it’s the balance of having enough experience while still playing at a high level with all your physical capabilities. I call it prolonging your prime. He’s at the point where he’s got it all and here’s the opportunity to go out and really showcase it.”
I don't think Drew is just blowing smoke up somebodies
arse. He could have briefly threw them a bone and then move along instead he draws a lot of parallels here between himself and Carr that make sense.

Ive been a Saints fan from day 1 of the organization.My
dad took me to the 1st regular season game against the
Rams.I still remember sitting in the south endzone of
Tulane stadium and watching John Gilliam returning that
first kickoff for a touchdown,what a memorey.Having said that I remember a QB named Archie Manning leading the Saints.Agreat athelete and very good passer his main problem
was the Saints had the WORST ownership in the NFL.John
Mecom destroyed everything his father gave him.Had Archie
been with a competent organiziation I think he would have
been one of the best.

I’m extremely optimistic about Carr, The Saints, and this season.
Sad that there are so many negative fans on this board.
People forget the 7-9 seasons with Sean Payton and a HOF Drew Brees.
We had some of the worst defenses and special teams in the history of the NFL
