Yae. Clapp on roster, Leonard to practice squad. Their draft orders should have been flip flopped.

The saints didn’t draft Leonard in the 4th as a known project to make him available to other teams on the PS. Whether they made the right choice or not. Tape don’t lie, if he’s playing well he can make the team as the backup T

Jermon Bushrod was one of the worst guards in the league last season. If he can’t play guard, what makes them think he can play tackle? With our newfound guard depth, he becomes expendable if he’s struggling at tackle.

leribeus, Tom and clap can play C or G and has experience from last season. Leribeus has the experience from last season and is the closest to Klemete as that joker. Leonard and Ola can play T, there was speculation Leonard could possibly play G as well

It’s nice to have options. I think they end up keeping 7 OL

Will Clapp will be a starter in this league. He has great technique. He needs to learn the intricacies of the pro game.

He makes the 53 because he can play all theee interior line positions well.

Yae, versitle offensive linemen are worth holding onto in a league where o-linemen are so often lost to injury.

It's hard to get rid of the Clapp.

Agree! He should be on the 53. Any time a guy can play multiple spots well that is huge, makes him more valuable for depth purposes when your roster is limited.

I'll wait until two days going against the chargers and Saturday to pic any o-lineman.

Coaches are going to get lots of tape the next several days.

This is what stands out. Ability to back up and of the 3 interior spots is huge. Him and Leribus should be your backup OLs.

Tom seems to be the #1 backup center I think so far in camp.

Cameron Tom can do the same thing.

Will Clapp is the future replacement for Unger but for now hes going to Practice Squad.

i wouldn't like the odds of Clapp sneaking under waiver wire radar and getting to our PS.

Any thoughts? Final 53? Practice squad? Cut? I want the kid to make it but I'm not sure, although Bushrod appears to be sucking mighty heavily.

Definetely not being cut. PS or 53

I would like to see him more but at his point now I'd be scared to put him on the PS as I don't see him clearing and end up being poched by another team.

You have to be cut to be placed on the PS.

Clapp is the guy that I'm most worried about being poached. Not b/c he's great or anything right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he developed into a solid OG/OC in a year or 2.

I don't think Clapp will be needed this year. We have Tom, LeRibeus, & Bushrod plays OG as well. I'd like to keep Clapp around, so if the coaches don't think he'll make it to the PS...I'd like to find a spot on the final 53 if possible.

I can't remember ever keeping less than 8 OL. We usually keep 8 or 9. Sometimes we'll carry 10 during the regular season if we have some key injuries.
