Why isn't there more public outcry about the NFL silence?

I would think by now all these talking heads should be chiming in about how the NFL has said NOTHING in 72+ hours. The MLK excuse is long gone. The fact that the NFL has refused to speak on this tells VOLUMES. If I were in the media, regardless of my personal feelings towards the Saints, I would be DEMANDING the NFL address this. It is cowardly, despicable, and downright shitty. This is like if my house were robbed and the cops refuse to even talk to me about it. Worse, its like a surgery gone horribly wrong and the doctor refusing to speak to the family.

I don't get the silence, this will not go away, my only hope is they are working to remedy this situation and that's why we've heard nothing. To me, if nothing were to be done, we would have at least been told "frick off, its over" by the NFL at this point.

Their silence tells you they know it was a monumental frick up.

This might be on the level of the tuck rule honestly

Losing its edge folks onto the next outrage or hype.

Time to get paid and hype the business, the Super Bowl.

This is worse than the tuck rule IMO.

I would start publicly asking why no response. Social media, TV, Radio, how do we get those with some stroke to start asking this? Demand answers or at least acknowledgement

They have no vested interest in it like the Saints fanbase does. And they're pivoting focus to the Superbowl. It may take longer for others to come to the realization, but this thing is over and done. Unfortunately we Saints fans have nothing coming to us.

No. This is far beyond that level. The tuck rule is a shitty rule that was revisited and not changed. It was a rule though, so that was the correct call.

This was a blatant action of ignoring the rules on the books.

I'm afraid of this, but I think you're right. But somehow, CowShit still remembers Bountygate and think this franchise lacks integrity after 8 years. What a count.

Gayle must keep making public statements. She should gather as much support from other owners as possible and demand action.

Tuck Rule and Dez No Catch were poor nfl rules decided correctly

This was a good NFL rule (rules if you include the H2H) completely missed

There's a difference, and this is a higher level

The NFL is backed in a corner. Why admit guilt ? What could they possibly say that would absolve their league ? There might be behind the scenes negotiations with Goodell and Mrs. Gayle Benson. The NFL is fricked.

Did OJ Simpson take the stand in the criminal trial ? Of course not. Goodell isn’t going to say anything when the whole country knows what happened.

Yea. Don't get me wrong, it's a bad look to remain silent, especially while also having a league spokesperson mention they're going to investigate the Brady laser pointer deal.

But, let's be honest, if Goodell got on TV today and admitted the call was blown, it wouldn't change anything for us Saints fans. There's virtually nothing he can realistically say that will change any of our opinions and thoughts on the outcome.

So I'm not sure they'll ever comment on it, I just don't see the good that could come from it, but I certainly see the bad that could come from it.

Some wife of a dead NFL owner from New Orleans will never have ANY "pull" or influence within the community of current NFL owners. No way.

Female owner. Tiny media market. Hated head coach. The Saints are in for a rough future and better be happy with SB44 because I doubt there will be more. (see how that rhymes?)

And also the only female owner in the NFL that is not in her 90's and may have all her marbles still. She's on an island alone here.
