Saints really only had one great season during the Peyton era without Allen.

Patriots should have never hired Bill Belichek because the flopped in Cleveland?
Bill went 7-9 his second and third season and then went 11-5 his fourth season with the browns. What a dumb comparison. Bill had a ton more success with the browns than Allen did with the raiders.

I'm warming up to DA. If he has the command and respect of the defense now, I think we would be ok with him. We need a great, aggressive offensive mind as an OC. That may be PC. I don't know. Keep Loomis. Keep Ireland. Lausche. Don't rebuild.

This franchise has made bad decisions but overall they aren’t dumb enough to name Allen the HC.
I’d be interested on the line in Vegas. I’d bet on him not being named. Football hires in general have elevated recently, teams aren’t making as dumb of hires like Dennis Allen anymore.
To me it’s not likely enough to even warrant discussion

Because it's not possible for a guy to grow as coach and not deserve a second chance? Not everyone is going to have the Midas Touch like the Sean McVays and Sean Paytons of the world and do well in his first head job. Sometimes you need to fail to succeed. New Orleans is about to go through a major roster movement anyway, so the Super Bowl is still a couple years away.
