You should let the nurses know that have been on Covid unit for the last 9mo

Enjoy your hospital visit in icu with untrained icu nurses. Which is what is happening at ocsnher right now

doesn't matter his reasoning. He should have the right to make that decision for himself. This virus, for a large segment of the population, has a .25% of turning into a serious case. It's a personal choice. IF you are at risk, then by all means do what you think is best. If you are not at risk, then by all means do what you think is best.

Takes horse medicine because it works but the bureaucrats are too corrupt to approve it. Won’t take the vaccine because the bureaucrats haven’t given it full approval

Imagine being worried about the less than 1% chance of health effects from the vaccine instead of the much higher likelihood it of negative effects from covid if you are unvaccinated

except Ivermectin is an FDA approved medication. There is evidence that it has been an effective tool in the fight against this virus, as is HCQ. Is it the best solution ever? Perhaps not, but this vaccine is proving that it isn't either.

Imagine making people who have a .25% chance of having a serious case of Covid get a vaccine they don't want to get, mostly because of politics (if we are being honest about both sides of the argument).

Yup. Know several people who work at Ochsner and it's an absolute shite show.

The state of Louisiana really shite the bed on nurses so they're the main reason to be blamed.

Let me apologize to everyone, I just read everyone bitching about getting refunds on tickets, and lost it.

A buddy just lost his son this morning, and I had to listen to all the stories of people needlessly dying yesterday from my doctor buddies yesterday and now I now have 3 relatives fighting with Covid right now including my wife. I suspect her father has Covid induced pneumonia an will die soon. Most all my neighbors have a family member with covid and are in quarantine. It’s a fricking nightmare or horror movie here in Mobile, the ambulances quit picking up people yesterday.

Even my wife’s doctors daughter has Covid right now.

How am I being selfish when the vaccine only protects me? You dumb frick!

I think what he means by that is the thought that if you get the shot the chances of you contracting and then possibly transmitting the virus to someone else goes down considerably.

The only people who are worrying are the vaccinated.

You don't have to be afraid of dying. Cast all your anxieties at the feet of Jesus and put your faith in Him, and God's peace will overtake you.

Take a risk assessment from oxford university. See if it's worth taking an experimental gene therapy for you.

The vaccines have not been approved officially by the FDA yet. They have not completed the normal rigorous testing that even a new aspirin would get.
So its stupid to call people names who take note of this simple fact.

So I guess the ldh numbers are not accurate, my bad.

Pretty sure I didn't sensationalize anything. Those are all numbers you can go look for yourself and confirm.

I didn't say anything about hospitals not being hit hard, in fact I pointed out how the vaccine mandate would have actually accomplished something if done in July when the spread was occuring. You guys should be angry at your government for not using the amazing statistical analysis that is readily available in this country from a ton of sources, but instead you all pat them on the back for doing something after the fact.

But you guys can keep hearing what you want to hear.

It's like, oh shite it rained yesterday and my house flooded, so today I put out sandbags. All the while the forecast has less rain than what would flood your house, And the community is peer pressuring you to put out your sandbags because of the tragedy of people's houses flooding. So in fact we are are doubling down on the tragedy by wasting time and resources that won't accomplish anything. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW, it might rain again that hard one day. We arent really sure if these sandbags will work with the next flood, but look at these poor people that have to gut their houses, do your part!

Makes no damn sense, but this is where we are at as a community. And I believe, when you push things that dont really make sense, it only heightens the polarization on both sides, and people dig in more.

I'll be happy to debate anyone on why they should get vaccinated. But I'm not going to push fallacies through sensationalism because of where we are today and every indicator is pointing at the worst is not in the future with delta.

ETA: the hospital situation is tragic, but we have known for awhile now, that lags cases by a couple of weeks or more. I feel for all the nurses and doctors who have to deal with this shite, I have relatives that are nurses. I'm not trying to piss on them; I'm just logically looking at the situation, and this mandate will not help the current hospitalization numbers based on everything we know. The good news, the indicators, are saying it will improve. That's good news, why not accept good news in times like these; instead push despair?

This shite is going to be around for decades, wave after wave.

This virus came from animals so it can jump from Human to animal and back. so unless you vax all animals, its going to stay around regardless. its called an animal reservoir.

Polio and measles are human only. They do not jump to animals. We also don't take the original polio vaccine. There have been a few.

What about the reports of the vaccines not being near as effective as originally thought? Some reports that Pfizer is only about 42% effective.

Also, the mRNA vaccines are not the same type of vax for others you mentioned. I believe they are only used for Covid at this point. Others use neutralized or weakened viruses to introduce them to your body so itll be ready to fight live ones. mRNA uses mRNA to create spike proteins that are similar to the outside of the covid virus so itll recognize that and fight it.

ALso this:

quote:

These less-than-perfect vaccines create a “leaky” barrier against the virus. Vaccinated individuals may get sick but have less severe symptoms, but the virus survives long enough to transmit to others, which allows it to survive and spread throughout a population.

“Our research demonstrates that the use of leaky vaccines can promote the evolution of nastier ‘hot’ viral strains that put unvaccinated individuals at greater risk,” Nair said.

"Leaky Vaccines" Healthline article April 2019

ETA: none of this is my opinion for those who think in black and white.
