Who do you think will try to sign Taysom Hill?

I could honestly see New England taking a shot. Before Danny Etling was cut, Belichick was putting him in a Taysom Hill type of role. CSP said teams towards the end of the draft were interested in Hill, and now it looks like Brady may be leaving. I’m sure they aren’t dumb enough to give up a first round pick for him, but I could see them taking a shot.

Raiders 2nd pick of the 1st round, #19. They have tons of draft capital, heading into a new market that will pull in fan support from a neighboring Mormon state.

Some of y'all are off your rocker if you think anyone is giving up a first round pick for a 29 year old gadget player.

What if the gadget player was the best player on the field in a playoff game that was played about 2 months ago?

Then there still isn't a team in the league that would give up a first round pick for him. I mean damn man, think about that for a second.

We're talking about a guy that will be 30 years old when the season starts that has 590 career yards from scrimmage and is 6/13 throwing the football in his career. For some perspective, Ladainian Tomlinson was 8/12 with 7 touchdowns.

In what universe would anyone consider trading a first round pick for that?

That doesn't really mean anything. If a team gives up a 1st rounder for Taysom...they better be 100% convinced that he will be a legit starting QB in the next year or 2.

I just don't see how they've possibly seen enough evidence to come to that conclusion. I mean, I guess they could break down his preseason games against 3rd stringers.

Taysom's age really hurts his chances. It would be a different story if he were 24 years old.

Is that what you think?/ Because if that's what you think then you need some serious meds and a straight jacket.

If the Saints put a 1st rounder tender on Hill, teams do not get to choose which 1st round pick they give up.

Teams w/ multiple 1st:
Raiders would have to give up #12
Miami would have to give up #5
Jax would have to give up #9

There’s really people who think Taysom is worth a 1st round pick? Jesus Christ.

And when he plays full time he'll have a shortened career due to running too much.

It’s not just a 1st round pick a team like New England would have to give up. They’d also have to pay NFL starter money to a 30 yo who’s never even been a full-time backup. Compare that to the rookie salary you’d get with that 1st round pick.

You are yapping about a bunch of numbers on paper and not the person player.

No one, the first round tender and his age will keep him in NO. He's been an amazing gadget player, but he's not proven himself as a QB yet.
