Let's remove the unknown 1st-year guys which brings the available ranking pool to 29.

Wild stab here:

Proven winners.

1. Belichick (fading)
2. Reid
3. Harbaugh
4. McVay
5. Carroll
6. Payton
7. Tomlin (fading)
8. Shanahan (ascending)
9. Pederson (ascending)
10. McCarthy (fading)
11. McDermott (ascending)

Early success but is it them or the QB?

12. Sirianni (kinda too soon to know)
13. LaFleur
14. Taylor

Decent

15. Vrabel
16. Reich

Up and Comers

17. Daboll
18. Campbell
19. McDaniel
20. O'Connell

Mediocre to Bad

20. Rivera
21. Stefanski
22. Staley

Hot Garbage: Not even sure how to rank this trash.

Eberflus
McDaniel
Bowles
Smith
Saleh
Allen

Saleh, Smith and Eberflus don't have as long a history of suck, so I'll put them ahead of:

McDaniels
Bowles
Allen

We have a legit bottom 3 coach with a pretty long history of terribleness.

Allowing Allen to make any decisions is disastrous.

Certainly in the bottom 10.

Probably bottom 5.

Definitely bottom 5.

Seems like the worst ones were really good coordinators but haven't cut it being the head guy. Saleh, McDaniels, Bowles and Allen are all excellent coordinators. Just all suck pretty badly running the show.

Taylor also wasn't very good until Burrow came along.

Not sure if that list is your ranking or just a rundown of coaches in tiers.

Here's the thing, I don't even think Allen is a great DC.

He's ok, but his defenses choke like no other. Dude cannot stop anyone in the 2-minute drill.

well lets see, there are 32 HC in the NFL, so that means DA is at around the 56

as a DC he is at around 15th best

Bottom 3 is a little optimistic

Easily last in the NFL. Probably can find a better head coach in the XFL.
