Maulaluga to the saints??? We have Vilma and M.Simenoux is back next year. We need an OLB, not another MLB.

Vilma could easily be converted to OLB, I believe that is what he played in college? Vilma isn't the biggest MLB anyway but I love the guy, definitely got snubbed in the pro bowl.

Lets take a pro bowl caliber player and move him out of position for a guy who has never taken a snap in the NFL.

It would be a classic Saints move.

Who says that we still even have Vilma on the roster next season?

Has he signed an extension? No.

We are taking a big gamble that no one else offers him after his great season with us this year. A little foolish on our part I think.

I understand. I have read many things on the subject.

But until it is signed in ink, it is not out of the imagination to believe that an athlete could bolt for more money even after a verbal agreement.

For example, the basketball player who was going to resign with the Cleveland Cavs only to pull a last minute switcharoo and sign with the Jazz for a little more.

I like Vilma. For sure hope he stays, but it isn't guaranteed just yet.

Because we don't wanna give up a first rounder...an agreement's already been reached with Vilma...where the hell have you been?

ok, wasnt sure if you had read it, but its not guaranteed

after listening to vilma, i belive that he wants to be a saint becuase they had faith in him when he was injuried and he want to pay them back he said something like that on the radio.

To answer your question Maualuga's looking like a mid 1st rounder.

Scouts inc., who Mcshay works with has him as the number 11 overall prospect and Kiper has him as the number 3 overall senior with no underclassmen ranked. Kiper's seems extremely high.
Draftcountdown which is my favorite, and free unlike the espn stuff, has him as a mid 1st rounder in their mock. But top 5 overall. They are usually very accurate.
