Dalton started the drill with four straight incompletions, including a pass breakup by C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who had tight coverage on receiver Jarvis Landry, and an interception by Bradley Roby who stepped in front of receiver Chris Olave for the pick

So going against a top 5 secondary that knows the offense means Dalton sucks. Ok I guess I'll have to take your word for it.

Andy always looks great in practice and preseason. The problem is when the games count

Also, if you read this board, the QB controversy has already started. Only consensus is it will never be Book, some may think he's still worthy of a PS spot

If you notice the trend here. No black QB is ever viewed as this site favorite starter. The would rather see Hill start over Bridgewater and Winston. Now they prefer Dalton trash arse over Winston.

There is still a group of people that pretend before Brees, Brooks wasn't the Franchise's best QB.

Damn man it was in response to posters jumping on the Red train due to his TD's thrown in red zone drills Wedn.

Was not knocking Red but the bandwagon jumpers!

Ok, now do Winston. I'm not against Winston but these dumb cherry pick arguments mean nothing.

Its crazy some posters think Andy has a shot at starting here(barring injury) or think he is better than JW. And that is with knowing JW has a way to go to becoming a franchise QB again.
I'm just glad everything from camp has been good about Red and that he seems recovered from the sh!t storm that is bears football.

It seems a general law here at TD that if your on the bench...your the best.

I think they both have strengths and weaknesses. I think Dalton is better at execution of a game plan but Winston has more physical tools. With how our offense seems to be pretty talented overall I think either would get us to the playoffs.

If you are on our D you are just telling the offense "just don't sh!t the bed guys and we will do the rest"

Mean nothing? It means enough for the NFL to now view Dalton as a career backup. The hell you talking about? It’s his last 71 starts. He hasn’t led a team to a winning record since the Obama administration

And Winston has 5 more wins in the same time frame. Only difference is he hadn’t previously started 77 games in the NFL like Dalton. He has 77 NFL starts in total

I don't give a crap if Billy Joe Tolliver comes back, I just want to win.

27-34. Fewer games and the same number of win.

But all that means nothing because this is a different team for both of them.

The career passer rating for Dalton is 87.0. Jameis is 87.8

At least we have a competent backup QB if we lose Jameis for any reason.

I think Dalton is a fine backup, he gives you a chance to beat the teams you should beat. Any QB who can protect the ball gives you a shot. He’s been tough to watch the last few seasons, though.
