guess I don't just hate a team simply because they beat us.
I tipped my hat to them when they beat us but growing up, I had to watch us lose to them over and over again in the 90's, that is just my recollection. The Saints had kind of turned the tables on them winning six in a row against them dating back to 2002, then came last Saturday.
I mean I'm not gonna go and celebrate because they lost but watching them lose in gut wrenching fashion was fun. That was a good NFC championship game and the 49ers had a great season, congrats to them.

i wanted them to win so we could at least say we lost to the team in the super bowl.
instead we have to harp on the team we skullfricked playing in the super bowl.
the 49'ers D is fun to watch. I have respect for them, and thus wanted them to win.

So, we're talking about envy and sour grapes, right?
agree. they were dominant in the 80's and early 90's, we were good for a couple of years. They were a classy team, not a band of shite-mutts like the Falcons or Cowboys. I was always pissed that they would beat us, but I never hated them. That's just jealousy

its a totally different team, with totally different players. How can you just hate a uniform, i dont know.

B/c it took 5 TOs and GW shitting his pants for them to just barely get by us and take away our likely playing in the SB.
But this will pass and the Whiners will slide back into their NFC West irrelevancy -- at least as long as Alex Smith is under center.

Yeah I know, I guess I'm just still bitter about last week.

Actually I don't understand the Cowboys hate. They were never in the Saints division and never played the Saints in the playoffs.
In 87 the Saints had the 2nd best record in the NFL but were a WC. Why, the 40 fricking 9ers had the best record. 88, Saints, Rams and 4fricking9ers all go 10-6. 9ers and Rams make the playoffs, Saints don't. 92 Saints have 3rd best record in NFL but are WC again, guess who had the best record? Then there is the game were Rice scored, even though he dropped a ball before crossing the goal line. And as a special kick in the nuts, after almost 2 decades of kicking our arse, we change division in 2002 and the 49ers go in the tank.

Jim Rome twittered that Harbaugh shunned Coughlin and dissed the FOX crew for the post-game interview. I used to like the guy, but I see what people are saying about him. Dude has class!

hey im with you, i'll be bitter for a very, very very long time. At least until we can win a super bowl again, if that even happens in my lifetime.
but im not bitter cause SF beat us; more along the lines of us beating ourselves. As a football fan i have mad respect for the way they play defense. I guess thats mainly why I wanted them to win this week.

Exactly this.
I do, however, think Harbaugh is an a-hole, but that's life.

Did Harbaugh speak to the press after the game? If not he can be fined -- it is in the contract of every coach (and in the last 10 or so years every player) that they must allow themselves to be interviewed at the post game presser.
Cowher got fined for it once in the 90s

Because the northern half of our state feels it necessary to support them rather than their own damn team. Plus they along with the Raiders have always been classless organization. The "America's Team" crap wears thin on everyone as well.
For me, I am also a Steelers fan, so my Cowboy hatred is piled on by that.

I'm not sure if he refused the press or just FOX. The following are what I read from peoples' twitters that I follow
quote:
Shocked that Jim Harbaugh would turn down an interview request of Fox. I mean, he is such a class act.. Ed Bouchet twitter

Harbaugh pretty much blows by Coughlin then stiffs Fox. Stay classy. His brother at least sucked it up and did the post game interview. Jim Rom twitter

Harbaugh did speak to the press afterwards, just not to Fox. He gave credit to the Giants.

far be it for me to defend the Cowboys, but isn't Shreveport closer to Dallas than New Orleans?

I don;t get that, both are arguably poorly run.

That i get, and I've never liked the Cowboys, but I don't see why so many Saints fans hate them over that.

Me neither.
I know so many Saints fans who hate the Cowboys.
They're not much of a factor anyway anymore.
