I actually just updated with all his fumbles. 3 of them directly helped cost us winnable games(2 in season openers in back to back years).

I'm feeling something like 250 carries/1150 yards, 6-7 TDs. We will give short yardage situations to Khiry or PT

Checked PT out too, and he has 3 lost fumbles in winnable games. The pats game last year, one of the tampa games in 2011, and one I don't blame him for in the playoff game we don't talk about. Sproles also lost a critical fumble in that game(only fumble Sproles lost for us in a loss).

Edit:
Moore had 6 fumbles(1 receiving, 5 punt returns), 3 lost(all in wins).

Meachem had 2 fumbles(both in 2009), 1 lost in a loss to the panthers.

Brees has fumbled 78 times(54 with us) and lost 30(20 with us). He recovered 18(12 with us) with 4(all with us) going out of bounds. With us he has 4 lost fumbles in one possession losses(2 in one game) and 1 lost in a playoff blowout loss. He has 6 more in other losses.

Perhaps more interesting is Brees has 6 career receptions(4 with us). The two in SD were designed plays, but the ones he has with us were all tipped passes. Short arse.

Pretty sure that was a Brees int and not a Meach fumble.

That's right. Not sure why I was thinking it was a catch/strip fumble.

The lost fumble was against the panthers.

Looking back on that season, we really could have gone 19-0.

Bushrod let Brees get killed against dallas(and Payton failed to adjust) and Brees wound up with 2 lost fumbles, an int, was sacked 4 times, and was under pressure most of the game. Did they mention Ware was injured?

Then the tampa game we played far too conservatively, Colston had that costly fumble, and we gave up that damn return.

And had Brees played at carolina he surely would have played better than Brunnell. That game you could tell his career was done when he managed a measly 3.5 ypa with a pick and a 45.5 qbr(not espn's total qbr, which was a 6.5). Any pass over 20 yards was not going to work. Add in the Meach and Roby fumbles.

I'd still gladly take the outcome of that season though.

No need to stress about it, we'll get the 19-0 this season

But he showed a good amount of improvement towards the end of the season IMO and there's no reason to think he can't continue that.

yeah he came on late and went to a few more Alabama games. I think he will be at more Alabama games this season on the sidelines. fig.

I'll be happy with Ingram if he's consistent this year.

Fumbles are going to happen to every player, I'm not holding that against him. He turned his season around when he dropped that pass in the Dallas game and got booed. After that he was running like a man possessed.

Up to that point? He was absolutely dreadful. Just a miserable player for our team that contributed far more to our failure than to our success.

Even now I think Khiry should get the bulk of the carries until proven otherwise. I just want Ingram to make the most of his snaps, whether he has the ball or not.

I think a reasonable expectation for him would be 700-900 yards and 4-7 td's.

He gets better when he gets to watch them play. I hope he goes to a bunch this year.

He will run for at least 3000 yards and have 100 TDs. If he doesn't, I will say he is the biggest draft bust and history and I hate that useless TPOS excuse for a halfback
