If he keeps playing like this in the preseason he's not getting cut and will be used as trade bait.

I’d trade a 4-5th. Really think it’s a good idea to move on one

You could cut Savage & even hill if you wanted to free another roster spot

So if they want to improve the backup position why would they want Bridgewater ? I don’t see them offering anything for him !!!

Would be a solid a backup for Brees....with some upside... wasn't terrible before his injury ...

A 5th rounder possibly a 4th rounder if i really needed him.

And you can bet Bridgewater or Mc Cown will be traded before the season starts.

I really thought Payton and co. would sign this guy during the offseason, but..... he has looked good so for with the Jets and the main thing - healthy again. Minnesota cleaned house with a lot of capable QB's and I didn't understand that at first until they signed Cousins. But I knew that if Bridgewater ever got healthy again that he's a bonafide top QB, but I figured he was done if Minnesota let him go, I was wrong. Saints would be smart getting him and letting him sit behind Brees for a season or two, however long Brees figures on playing. Bridgewater is a smart QB and total opposite of a Newton and Winston, good head on his shoulders and doesn't do dumb things resulting in drama or trouble, and is a very capable leader.

no, he was really good before his injury and Minnesota was winning, he was coming into his own so to speak.

Bridgewater would be miles ahead of the backup QBs currently on our roster (assuming he's healthy). Would also give us someone with upside to possibly groom into a future starter instead of just settling for career backups like McCown and Daniel.

At LSU? I would have traded Lee, Jefferson and Mettenberger.

On the Saints? Nothing.

Yeah I don’t think a mid-late round pick would be a bad investment at all. Especially if he had a year to be on team with Brees. He’d likely want to play sooner.
