The first one I remeber was against the LA Rams, Everett was QB. We won 6-0 on two Mortenson field goals. I don't think the Rams crossed the 50 but maybe once. The only Saints game my dad was ever able to go to.

noise of the old stadium when everyone would start stomping there feet. It was metal.
For anyone who never saw a game in Tulane Stadium, the noise could be deafening. The bleachers were made of metal, and whenh the fans got fired up (not too frequently, unfortunately), they'd stomp their feet and it created a rumble. The concession stands were located along the ramps right below the bleachers, so when you were standing in line, you were right below them and it got loud! So many good memories of that place!

I honestly don't remember my first game. I've been to a bunch. It would have to have been around 1980-81 after I moved to N.O.
I do know, however, my next game will be this coming Monday night.

I was 8 years old and with my dad's hot girlfriend who had great season tickets. Also, she was friends with a lot of the Saintsations. Why wouldn't I have become a huge Saints fan?

What was the first Saints game you ever went to?
1973, Saints vs. Falcons in Tulane stadium. I was 7 years old. The Saints ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and we were up by 7.
The final score was Saints 7, Falcons 62.

Sept. 17, 1967...the first regular season game. But my dad always had us arriving at the game either right at kickoff or right after. So I missed Gilliam's return...damn it.

My first game was Dolphins at Saints in Marino's first or second yr. I was only 4 and don't remember the game so well, but i remember my aunt was cheering for the Dolphins bc she thought Marino was cute. She was 14 at the time so she was clueless.

Early 70's against the 49ers. Don't remember the exact year. I was only about 6 and went with my grandparents who had season tickets. John Brodie was the qb for SF. The best thing about those early years was going to see the great players on opposing teams. I remember seeing Lamonica, OJ, Brodie, Nobis, etc. play at Tulane Stadium. Great times.
