If All positions of need at 27 were equally talented, for arguments sake.... I go penetrating DT, I said in the off-season the Fairly contract was a huge mistake and that was before the heart issue came up,(can anyone clear up for me what happens to that cap space) All year QBs we're able to step up into the pocket if the DEs got a good jump. If not there DE, I liked Okafor alot but who knows what will happen with him, if he isn't resigned I'd go DE first, would be VERY interesting if Key we're still there, actually after looking at the depth chart I'd probably go DE, just so tired of watching Rankins doubled and the QB stepping up. Either way, a D lineman that can pressure the QB HAS to be the first pick unless there's just no one on the D line worth taking, if so, I'd try to move down into top 5 -7 of 2nd round

would love to see them get someone who can get to the QB and take a little of the Pressure off of Cam.

Peyton can find WRs elsewhere or later and the LB would have to be ALOT better than the D lineman

We need a stud LB who can play sideline to sideline and won’t be a liability in coverage. Honestly, we are a stud LB and SS away from being a top defense in the league.

We should draft a LB with the first pick but my gut says we will pick a DLinman.

Not sure what we should draft first, but WR, TE, LB, pass rusher, and another OL should be addressed.

Did you just convince yourself to go away from your 1st thought while you were in the middle of typing your post?

As someone else pointed out, I would go with a coverage LBer, someone like Debo. I get the need to get someone to rush the passer, but when they can dump off to RBs & TEs at will, you won't be able to consistently get there without a LBer that can cover

Probably the best defensive player available.

Deep WR and TE free agency class. (Plus I think we need a sure thing at TE)

Can never have enough legit d linemen. I love that big dude from Washington. If we had a massive guy in the middle to further clog it up as well as collapsing the pocket we could continue to become a more and more physical team.

I think if talent is equal you take the d line 10/10 times in comparison to a lb.

Big time DT that can force a double team most of the time. Fairly was that guy last year; his career-ending heart condition was pretty devastating to our overall pass rush this year.

If they think they can get a good value DT later in the draft, I would be fine with that as well. I just hope they don't address that hole with FA. I've never been a fan of signing DLinemen to premium contracts. Their best years are typically the first 5 years anyway, why pay them top dollar for something they did with another team?

For other positions, I wouldn't be offended if we drafted another safety (with KV probably leaving) if the BPA supported it. Maybe one with a little more ball-hawking skills, KV has been pretty sketchy in coverage. Also we need depth at OL and LB. If there is a stud at that either of those positions at the upper 20s then I would be pumped as well.

Yeah I like him too, but we don't have a good track record with Washington..Kikaha never developed into the pass rusher we hoped he would.

I say we draft best available on Defense, hopefully it's a beast MLB. We really are an elite LB away from a top 5 defense

Maybe a little Lol, after looking at the depth chart with all the young DTs then seeing Kikaha and Okafor who's no longer under contract it made me reconsider a little
