What happened to the Sproles/Kamara role in the Saints offense?

That seemed to be the staple of the offense. Pete was there through all of Payton’s tenure. Bush/Sproles/Kamara. The swing passes. The option routes. We hardly see any of that. They’ve turned Kamara from an ‘electric mismatch’ into a ‘turn around and give it to him up the middle’ kinda guy. We used to have the best screen game in the league. WTF happened to Pete Carmichael?

AK will be 28 next season. He still has flashes of greatness but we need to start considering his age and the future.

He still has a really high stock. If we can get something for that high stock and find another shifty gadget back to draft, that's a good starting point for the future.

Would you trade him to KC? He would give the chiefs a CMac type upgrade that would almost guarantee 2 more Super Bowls. 1st and 4th for Kamara and a 5th.

One problem is we don’t have that run up the middle back. You still have to be able to do inside runs. Even with a power runner you still need AK to be able to do inside runs to keep defenses honest. Our best bet was Latavius Murray and we screwed that all up. So Kamara is basically our only true RB the Saints trust right now

It’s called Pete Carmichael. The man who amazingly learned 0 things in 16 years under one of the greatest offensive minds ever. Allen is bad but the worst move this off-season was making Pete the OC. Not only did they do that but they talked him out of retirement do come do this to this team lol. Epic failure.

He would do very well in their offense. I would absolutely give a lot if I was KC...

the one game that comes to mind where they did throw it to him identifying mismatches was against the Raiders.
still second on the team in receptions though behind only Olave.
I think with MT13 missing a boat load of time again and not getting the kind of production we hoped for out of Landry has a lot to with it.
Teams continue to key on him mostly.
