He plays for an organization that has 1 playoff win in 6 decades.

I want Stafford to be our guy when Drew hangs it up. He would be outstanding in our offense with Sean Payton. I think he would jump at the chance to play for a playoff ready team. He would sacrifice money for success, IMO, due to the stage he is in his career.

Playing for the Lions may have damaged him beyond repair.

If his wife hates Gretchen Whitmer, wait until she sees Destroya.

I'd be intrigued.

was of the opinion a few years ago that I wouldn’t mind just sucking for a year if it got us a guy that could lead us the next 15. But now, this team is to good to not have someone that can step into Drew’s shoes immediately. If we have to give up a few firsts to do so, so be it.

A lot of people won’t like this bc they hate giving up picks but I would be all for it. The team is set up nicely to win another Super Bowl even after Brees retires. Go get the guy you want.

He's a stud QB on a terrible team. If he comes to NOLA on the cheap, he'll win a Super Bowl with this team. He has a cannon for an arm, and I know he and his wife wants out of Detroit.

Some may not like this but for the last few years I've seen him as the Detroit Lions version of Archie Manning

Mike Detillier was discussing this topic on WWL tonight. He thought Stafford would be a good fit in New Orleans, but he will be expensive, we have other people we have to sign, and the 49er's will also be after him.

He has 20mil and 23mil left on his contract that we would be on the hook for. Realistically, its the picks to get him that would be costly.

If that's the case, you're talking about trading + extending him 3 years that can possibly save you >10mil for the year in cap space too.

Deitllier thought the Niners would be moving on from Jimmy G. The feeling is that he is a good QB, but not a championship caliber one. I wonder how he would do under Payton's tutelage.

Eddy P says he’s uncoachable. Could be sour grapes.
