Saw earlier that Julio is "aiming" for a week one return and that it's no sure thing as of now. An old arse White + Douglas + Toilolo (??!!) isn't very intimidating. Neither is Stephen Jackson, but I have a feeling that they go to Devonta Freeman early in the season. Hopefully week 2.

Might be just the right time of the year to play them at their place.

I'm looking at your roster now, and holy crap, all the linebackers are either rookies or have a year or two of experience. That's nuts.
Worrilow and Bartu aren't bad but I wouldn't go calling them great either. They played well as rookies last year.

But with Dent never taking that next step, Weatherspoon going down(again), and no other good traditional LBs to speak of(unless a rookie steps up), they are looking very weak there.

On the "minor" procedures issue, only Byrd's situation is worth monitoring and it was never said to be minor. All that was said was that if it was during the season he wouldn't have had the surgery. I have no doubts he'll be ready to go week 1 though(barring a setback) otherwise they wouldn't have done it.

But we have Bush and two young safeties in the mix just in case.

falcons fans are already showing him the door, saying he was a big bust. great fan base. some starting to say the same about julio since he "might" not make week 1.

Except Ingram didn't miss a whole season. He's judged on his production. Julio has been a top 5 WR.

Ingram also gave many of us hope at the end of last season. So I would say many of us, myself included, are still hopeful

I do think TB having a Defensive-minded coach may make it tough. But seriously? After this loss, the Falcons may be doomed. I smile at this.

I think everyone is being much more careful not to gloat than in past years.
I'll echo what most have said and thats too bad for Spoon. He's a damn good player but I weep no tears for the atl and their 31st ranked fans.

No shite. The majority of our fan base is no better. Pisses me off when I talk with my friends because most of them hate Ingram and I've kept the faith to this point. I've just always felt that he runs harder and has that 1-step burst that none of our other backs have. Could be totally wrong of course, and he may never do squat for us. But I'm at least holding out the faith for 1 more year. Hopefully he proves me right this season.

Wasn't he the best coverage linebacker in the league for a while? But then Brees set the record on him, and he was never the same?

I think you are confused. Bo Jackson ran over him at the goal line and he was never the same.

Yea, Paul Worrilow and Japlo Bartu had REALLY good rookie season's last year, even for a shitty team. Assuming they can progress in year 2, it may not be a tremendous loss. Not like losing your starting QB or anything but it still hurts no matter how I try and sugar coat it.

I actually hate it more for the player though. He was out most of last season and was in a contract year. He's pretty much gone.
