Interesting statement that he disputed later in the article.
quote:

“Just seeing those guys – Mike (Williams) and Keenan – lining up all across the field in different formations, splitting us out in different packages, I definitely think that this offense has what it takes to become a high-powered, prolific offense in the NFL.”
How can a team that has the potential to be high powered have more talent then the one that was already a high powered offense?

Reading the article, it looks like the 'better talent' comment might have been particularly talking about the WR corps (which to be fair, wasn't our strongest suit the last few years beyond Thomas/Sanders):
quote:

“When you have a high-powered offense and guys with the talent to make your offense high-powered, I think there are a lot of questions in the air about how well we will be. That’s always going to be a question, but seeing the talent that we have at receiver, it’s just as good. We probably got better talent here than we had in New Orleans.
“Just seeing those guys – Mike (Williams) and Keenan – lining up all across the field in different formations,

splitting us out in different packages, I definitely think that this offense has what it takes to become a high-powered, prolific offense in the NFL.”

Still, frick that slippery-handed bastard.

Offensively they have way more fire power than we do. If you think otherwise you’re just being a homer. We have no proven threats behind Thomas and kamara.

Doesn't matter, he'll still fumble at key points in the game at San Diego.

Holy stretch batman.

What is way more in your book? Their depth is equally inconsistent as ours.

Allan and Ekeler are somewhat comparable to Thomas and Kamara but who else do they have Mike Williams? A guy that has 2500 yards in 4 years?

They have a QB that was pretty damn good last year for them as a rookie and Mike williams is better than any other option we have lol. Look I’m all about WhoDat nation but we need to be realistic about this coming season. Our defense lost a lot, hopefully the pieces we have stay healthy because we are 2 injuries on defense to being a dumpster fire.

No disagreement on the QB..i was just going off their weapons. I feel like the teams are pretty damn similar. No real issue calling a team better but this one aint it.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Mike Williams as he is wildly inconsistent and hurt alot.

Im not so much as screaming the praise of our talent. We have a ton of potential in guys like Troutman, Harris, Calloway. But I just dont see LAs talent as "way better". If anything is say very comparable

There are some who hate Saints players throughout history. I hate nobody more than Cook.

I think hes right on the money.

I just watched some of Ian Books film. He looks just like young brees. Crushing weak opponents, underthrowing, overthrowing, interceptions, blowing bigtime games.

He will fit right into new orleans.

The Chargers offense will be OK so long as they don't count on Jared Cook to win games for them.
