Sorry Moore has drafted and developed how many QBs? Y’all act like he has this incredible track record, we don’t even know if he’s a capable HC yet..and this FO sure as frick doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt in drafting

I’m not gonna sit here and pretend to know more about QB’s than Moore, Nussmeier, and Tolzien. If they thought enough of him to take him in the 2nd round I’ll go with it

What a well reasoned and measured response. That can’t be tolerated. You have to pick an extreme view point and defend him as a future HOFer or melt like an ice cream sandwich in July.

Give me a chance, I’d do better. Dumb pick. The whole “you don’t know more than them” is the dumbest rebuttal. I know ball and historical patterns show you how to build a team. This isn’t it.

No, none of you dumbasses know how to build a team. You get a Oline and D set first, suck this year and build draft capital, and get your QB next year along with toys. Might as well have burned that pick because he will never play or win meaningful games. Banks was a good pick though.

This. Was hoping we got Burden at 40. Woukd have been nice two picks for our qb next year.

This franchise is a complete joke now.

Except again…the league collectively told you they don’t think he’s a starting qb. Several QB poverty teams said nahhhb were good. Loomis, Moore, and Nuss didn’t big brain the league, we just forced a need pick.

Maybe they’re right but the odds say he’s not going to be a quality starter in the NFL

I mean dale…TOM BRADY WAS A 7th ROUNDER

don’t use outliers to prove your point, you’re better than that Dee

Also Lamar was right around the time the league started changing their tune on what the prototype qb was…his frame was more of an issue

This entire QB class is “work hot.” Like when you first start a job and you look around and say “ugh, there are no good looking women here.”

Then, after being there for several months and seeing the same women every day, monotony and lack of options tricks you brain in in thinking: “Well, maybe she’s not that bad looking”…even though your first impression was 100% right

We needed a WR, Edge Rusher, CB, S. The issue is there was still good players at those positions left.

Just because he wasn’t picked in the first doesn’t mean he can’t be a starting QB. We passed on him in the first too.

The top of the 2nd was where he was projected to go. And the Saints…as part of the NFL…picked him at 40. Mason Taylor was drafted after him. Does this mean he’s not a starter? Drew Brees was picked at the beginning of the 2nd round. Does that mean he couldn’t be a starter? What if someone was trading up for him? How would you feel then?

I’m not defending the pick. I’m just pointing out that your logic is extremely extremely flawed.

Shough was like 40% against pressure. That is worrisome for a 25 yr old qb that has been in so many different systems.

The Saints also drafted Payton Turner in the 1st

That doesn’t mean he was worth the 40th overall pick

I know it’s an anomaly, even with Jackson, Hurts, Purdy, etc

I’m not over the moon with Shough but I don’t think there’s any science to QB drafting. I think it’s a crapshoot.

Then why was some of the talking experts saying Shough was the best QB in this class according to them?

Were they just saying this to ramp up some conversation?
