I’d also like to see something out of Jared Cook. He doesn’t seem much better than 50 year old Ben Watson was for us last year.

I think you’re overrating Cooks performance catching passes. And Watson was a superior blocker, IMO. Cook needs to step it up.

AK is just that good, hard to not keep giving him the ball

I think the issue with Murray is two fold:

He runs upright. He is a big guy, but he doesn’t get behind his pads. If he can make that one cut and go, he’s gone. If he has to wade through any garbage, he gets tackled fairly easily.

His vision isn’t the best and we tend to run a lot of zone plays. Without good vision, he is unable to pick out the hole. He’s a hit the hole, make the cut and go kind of guy. Ingram had this problem initially. Remember when he would just run into the line? Well, he got a lot better at picking the hole and angry Ingram was born.

I don’t know if Murray will find that vision like Ingram did, but like someone else said, ingram’s Agent can DIAF.

Cook is a bust.

Murray isn't getting the opportunities to get into a rhythm. Also, it's becoming predictable when he's in the game, it's automatically a run play.

Good idea, let’s run our best player into the ground.
Dumbass.

He’s on pace for 315 touches, which would be 2.5 more touches per game than last season

Ya let’s protect Kamara in Seattle in the rain with our backup QB starting. Hey we will take the loss, get Murray in there, don’t wanna run him into the ground

I am one of those "backs are damn near interchangeable nowadays" guys.

Murray is proving my theory is wrong.

With Brees being out they can key on run game. The offense will have to keep getting more creative and hope that teddy can replicate somewhat what brees does if Murray is to have success. He is victim of the Brees affect, Kamara is just a stud he does it all so you don't know what to expect when he's in. That's the difference

Yet Ingram was effective

With Brees, Ingram was a subpar/average back before Kamara

Ok, Murray was bad with Kamara and Brees.

Looked up some numbers. Saints are 8-0 when Alvin Kamara touches the ball 20 or more times on offense. ->

His best game so far was with Brees and Kamara

He's starting to look like an Adrian Peterson situation. Don't be surprised if we trade him or trade for someone more Ingram like. I don't think Sean likes having to change his gameplan up so much.

Because he exhibited an inability to run in a zone run scheme. He developed that. Is Murray gonna develop that? Dunno...
