We have a rushing problem

92 yards last week. 65 yards this week.
We are setting ourselves up for heartburn and heartache as the season goes on at those #'s.
Is the O line just not good enough for us to produce better balance?

This o-line is NOT good. Fuaga is becoming worrisome (could be Ruiz making him look bad), Ruiz is terrible, and now Banks is out for the foreseeable future.

I didn’t HATE the Etienne signing, but I never understood the local media’s obsession with signing him. Many of them thought he was better than Walker, and I couldn’t see it.
I think he’s “fine”, but SO FAR……it definitely looks like we overpaid him.
Hopefully Moore can fogure something out with this scheme to match this personnel

Yeah, Etienne is a good RB. But he was out carried by Kamara today for some reason.
He had 9 carries for 5.1 YPC last week (Kendre had 9 carries) and 8 carries for 3.1 YPC today (Kamara had 9 carries). He needs to carry at least 15 times a game IMO.
Also, we need to run behind Edwards more. He was doing a great job blocking today. Fuaga has to get better.

We have this bad problem with starting so slow that we have to pass more and more to catch up. We began the game running the ball, and it was okay for a bit, but the drives stalled. I think we should start games throwing the ball, and just set up the run by passing more, rather than vice versa. Something HAS to change in the first2 quarters. We are having to come from behind every game to get a win. Seriously, the last time we went into the second half with a lead was on December 21st of last year in that blowout of the Jets. And that was just 9-6. Before that, it was OCTOBER 5TH, against the Giants, and we only had a 2 point lead. Those were the only times we had a lead going into the second half of a game that year.

Just need to keep working at it.
With Olave, Tyson, Vele,and Johnson there should be alot of six man boxes later this year.
They just get no push, like the are just weaker than the opponents

Etienne has always been better on his 20th carry than his 4th but I don’t think we are built for him to get 20 carries a game. Still trying to figure out how to use him.

And we will still win 10 games with Shough.
It will get better. It was Kamara’s first game back and I sure there are growing pain to figure out the best platoon system for the team to get the best results.
