What it does clearly show is Hayes short stopping for no apparent reason

You tell me why Hayes abruptly stopped nowhere near the intersection.

so fricking what? Give his widow a ticket.

He got shot in the back without even exiting the vehicle. Do you even know what the legal standard for using deadly force in self defense is?

I covered that with the rest of my post.

I fail to see how this is relevant, legally, yet you seem to love to bring it up.

there's no vehicle in front of the hummer, the video shows a lengthy approach of the hummer and even video guy says abruptly stops. ALSO, you can see at the previous stop, Hayes sat at the intersection for a prolonged time period. Could have noticed the eye popping Mercedes behind him at that intersection.

the guy said he never exited his vehicle, when in fact he did. I didn't say it had any important legal ramifications.

I know you are addicted to arguing with people on message boards so maybe you just cant help yourself, but you are looking like a callous a-hole here. The guy will be charged with second degree murder for gunning down a model citizen who is very much in the public eye. Trying to pretend that Will Smith was looking to cap a brotha in the Garden District because you cant control your impulse to be contrary makes you look pretty small.

There clearly was a bump but:
1.) Looked like it was just a nudge and no damage done
2.) Why was the Hummer stopping in the middle of the street with no light, sign or pedestrian crossing the street.
3.) Yes, Smith should not have ran but we are not sure what happened prior to this scene. They might have exchanged words before and this guy stops to cause the wreck on purpose.

Bottom Line: You do not just get out your car and start shooting at someone.

if you knew the facts(which it is clear you don't, judging by your above post), you wouldn't be so quick to say that.

What facts do you know? I'm skeptical of anything you say because you think that Hayes stop was routine. The video shows 100% that that stop was anything but. If you can't admit that that stop was out of place, why should anyone believe anything else you say?

What the video shows is:

* There is contact between the vehicles
* The Hummer moves to the side after contact, the Mercedes decides to leave the scene
* The Hummer follows the Mercedes
* The Mercedes is following abnormally close to the Hummer
* The Mercedes had plenty of time to stop
* The Hummer didn't stop abruptly. It seemed to be normal braking speed.

Obviously, this isn't the whole story. Perhaps things happened before. We know very important things happened after. But, I would suggest that regardless of who you ultimately find at fault, the information above is accurate.

My apologies, Detective Earl. I guess following the case in the media like everyone else isn't meeting your expectations. I'll try to do better, I promise.

No reason talking any sense into these morons man. They already have their mind made up. I've met Hayes before and he definitely didn't give me the vibe of a thug killer. A witness stated the convo that went on between Will and Hayes before Will was shot and said that will told Hayes to get out the car I have a gun waiting for you. Hayes said frick you I have one too and Will was not sitting in his car when he was shot. His feet were on the ground. Im not saying that Hayes is right for what he did but if someone told me that they had a gun waiting for me and it looked like they were going get that gun, I would've shot their arse too. Do you expect for him to just sit there and wait to get shot so he's not wrong? Give me a break. This thread is the clear reason why this case wont be held in Louisiana lol or at least the jury wont be from here.

Looks like the driver of the Hummer was looking for problems.

Why follow him and shoot him?

let me ask you this, why are you so defensive from me correcting you that he was indeed out of his vehicle?

Well, right now it looks like you're talking out of your arse. Sum up your facts for me. That shouldn't be too hard to do if you have any.
