Terron should be traded. He has been a good but oft injured player. Hurst is a decent replacement. Peat should also be moved. Malcolm Jenkins needs to renegotiate or go. Taysom Hill needs to renegotiate; he is making too much money. Finally, I would gauge interest in Michael Thomas just to see what teams would be willing to pay. We must draft wide receivers or sign free agent wideouts. Hopefully, Winston will be healthy.

Management should just accept the fact that they need to rebuild and do it and stop putting lipstick on this pig.

You pretty much have everything wrong here.

Armstead is a free agent so he can’t be traded.

Malcolm Jenkins has played great for us and is a veteran leader on the defense.

Hill’s contract is going to be reworked as the entire contract is all voidable.

Did you watch our receivers without Michael Thomas this year? You seriously want to run it back with those guys and possibly a rookie selected in the first two rounds? Trading Michael Thomas would be a terrible move and a sign of a rebuild.

Rebuild? This team is really good. Missing the playoffs bc you aren't good enough and missing the playoffs bc you were absolutely destroyed by injuries and Covid are 2 totally different things. Bring back Winston and draft well, and this team is gonna be fine

Lipstick on the pig that was 5-2 and a win over the SB Champs with Winston at QB and 0 WRs. Tell our defense they suck and need to rebuild. Holy Jaysus people are losing it because a team with ZERO chance at a SB came up a little short of the playoffs...which is SHOCKING

No it's not. This is typical Saints thinking. Muddled in mediocrity and thinking just wait till next year.

The defense is really good.

If management can keep them together and not let the holes get too big, over the next 4 or 5 years your going to witness what some of us watched through the mid 80's and early 90's.

We should've made the playoffs without him.

How is that muddled in mediocrity?

Yall motherfukkers are stupid and don't even deserve a response.

You can do a sign and trade with Armstead. It doesn't hurt to shop Thomas ( I want him back assuming he wants to be here). Jenkins is going to be 35; see you later. Peat might bring a 3 or 4 pick.

Then why do we need a rebuild, again?

We don't. Just need a solid draft, solid Free Agency, & good luck with injuries.

Snipe is usually pretty good, but I disagree with him here.

Armstead will cost this team $13M if they do not sign him to a new deal before the beginning of the season (mid-March). He will be back. Also, sign & trades don't work in the NFL because you'd have to eat the entire signing bonus and still need to replace the player.

I agree that I think Jenkins is gone due to age and cap casualty. He may be willing to reduce his cap #, but I think he's gone.

Always find the post hilarious that say this player is shitty, lets get a 3rd rounder for him. If he's that bad, why would a team give up anything for them. In regards to Peat cutting him moves his cap # from $15.5M to $24.7M (paying more for him to not be on the team). A trade reduces his number from $15.5M to $13.8M (save $1.7M). Best bet is to find someone that can beat him out because right now he's still the best option we have at Guard and the drop off his huge. Then he's an expensive backup that can be moved in '23

Going back to your original comment of Hill makes too much money. Won't here an argument from me on that, but they just gave him the extension 1 1/2 months ago. They decided this is what he's worth

Finally, yes it does hurt as trading MT does not make sense. It would reduce his cap number from $24.7M to $22.7M and you then need to pay a #1 while also trying to bring in a #2.

Agreed. When you look at the roster, once Loomis does what Loomis does, there are not that many must bring back guys (compared to previous years).

Winston, Harris, J Johnson, Armstead, Granderson, Tuttle, Holmes, Dalton, Ringo, Huggins, Kwon, MW & PJW. Puts roster at 53 players plus draft (6 picks plus comp picks)

Calloway makes Tre'Quan & Humphrey expendable (unless they come back at vet mins) if they address the #2 spot in FA or draft

May need to bring back more depth along the lines, unless you address the guards in draft/FA

Listed all FA DTs on team just because they all played well, most won't demand top $$$, and will be great depth. Also needs to be address in draft
