Whatsthe latest on Kwon?
Posted on 7/21/22 at 10:12 am to rondo
I think he's still available. I wish we would bring him in, b/c he has to be a damn good bargain at this point.
I can't see him costing us very much at all.

We are so damn deep at safety I see a pulled mystery muscle and PuP to start the season for someone like Smoke or Bryce.
Would not be surprised to see Jordan Jackson make the team as a 3rd down DT.
T.E. could be a interesting battle.
As well as LB. Will someone find Zack Baum a position to excel at this year?

What the story with Winstons $3M in dead money?
Legit never paid attention close enough to ever notice dead money from a player still on the roster.

Him and Tre'Quann had voidable years Loomis used to spread bonus money to make cap numbers work. New year started without an extension, so team had to eat that bonus money. They then signed the players to a new deal after the fact.

Underhill tweeted about this the other day, they are happy with Pete Werner in that position and doesn't see them pursuing Kwon all that hard.

Zach Wood makes $1.26 mil a year?
I really dont think Ive done much research before on the average pay of a long snapper, but god damn. He is getting paid a time and half more than our punter.
Edit: He makes more than several of our position player starters…

Well that’s stupid if true. Kwon is exactly what this LB corps needs. Should have locked him up already.

Maybe there is injury info we're not privy to. Someone should have signed him by now.

That's what I'm thinking. The whole situation makes perfect sense if Kwon isn't healthy.
You would think that 1 of the 32 teams would've swiped him up by now. A cheap LB that can cover should've enticed a team by now.

1.26 mil isn't much money. The players making less are just on rookie contracts.
I think he's also on the 3rd year of his contract as well.
He's a reliable long snapper & he's still young. I think it's a decent deal for the Saints.
